Anyone ever accrue unpaid parking tickets? Anyone know the basics of paying out-of-state parking tickets? When I still had Colorado plates, I got a parking ticket in a two-hour zone, even though I had a temporary permit sitting on my windshield (welcome to DC). I planned on arguing it, never did. That was back in October. I've since registered for DC tags and a license, I've never had anyone bring up the ticket. I had my car broken into last May and the police said someone reported it, but they couldn't contact me because they have no records of CO plates in their database. I'm taking that as a good sign. If you have legal knowledge of this or whatever please pass that along, but even if it's something as simple as a similar story that happened to you years ago, tell me what happened. I don't want to pay this ticket, because I shouldn't have gotten a ticket. On that note, could I still argue this thing and just put the issue to rest? It's been four months. These tickets turn delinquent after two.
I'm looking for some good political stastical theory websites (especially if it has methods behind market segmentation, predictive modeling, and their impacts on campaigning). If anyone has any, please shoot me a PM or something.
I need some design advice. I am currently redecorating my flat in London, England. In my living room I want to paint a feature wall behind the tv. My issue is there is a Z shaped wall and I am undecided on what walls to paint. I have attached a fucking dodgy paint drawing. My current idea is to paint walls 2 and 3 a maroon leaving wall 1 the same color as the rest of the room a creamy color. My question is could I do this for walls 1 and 3 leaving 2 the same colour as the rest of the walls? Or am I totally off and need to paint walls 1,2 and 3? This is a flat I only use for work and my family do not live there. Like a pathetic loser I am keen to keep a trendy bachelor feel to it. Weird one I know but any help would be grateful.
Anyone from Calgary that knows is a little mechanical that could stop by and take a look at a bike for me?
Paint it all black. Fuck trendy, it's to make television viewing easier. Faggoty kinda question is that? Do you need help matching your shoes with your skirt too?
Anyone know of a good BBQ restaurant in Houston that delivers? My brother in law's father died and I want to send food vice overpaying for flowers that will only die in a week. I am currently out of the country and will be unable to make it back for the funeral. The least I can do is buy dinner for the family. Thanks in advance for any help.
This is such a big ask, but could anyone give me a link to a copy of Robert Greene's The 50th law. It would really help with this political strategy course I'm doing, and since I live in Australia and I'm a student, I don't have enough money to order in a copy, and I can't use torrents on my network. Thanks so much to anyone who can help!
Not exactly what you're looking for, but Carson's delivers their award winning ribs fully cooked, anywhere in the country. <a class="postlink" href="http://www.ribs.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">www.ribs.com</a> I haven't ever ordered them personally, but I've heard good things.
Anyone know how to look up a law online in Montreal? I had a little "incident" there this weekend, and I'm really not sure what the fuck I did. I have the section and code on the citation, so I'm trying to look it up. Thanks in advance.
I've been watching Milton Friedman videos on YouTube for the last couple hours and decided I need to do some economic learning. I was wondering if anyone who has had some formal education on the subject could recommend a few books to get me started. Obviously I'd need something fairly basic and not too complex since I'm jumping into this with essentially no prior knowledge. From what I've seen, this Friedman guy does a pretty good job of keeping things in layman's terms. Hopefully he has a book or two that does the same. And I'd also like to read something that takes a different perspective. If he is "conservative" then who should I read that is "liberal"? Thanks in advance.
If it was watching Friedman videos that whet your appetite than start with the bible, Capitalism and Freedom.
I have been researching docking stations, and I am at a complete loss. Maybe someone here can help. I am looking for a docking station to use with my new laptop that runs windows 7, 64 bit. It seems far too complicated to get one that is the same wattage as this comp (65w), so I'm not even bothering with that. All I need is a docking station so that I can connect the following to it: 1. Additional monitor 2. speakers 3. various peripherals (external hard drive, cordless mouse, etc...) It does not seem like it would be that hard to find a decent one, but I have read reviews for several days now, and I cannot find even one that does not seem to have a ton of problems. I am willing to pay for quality, just want something that works. thanks in advance...
When it comes to docking stations/replicators, your best bet is getting one from the laptop manufacturer that's designed specifically for your laptop. However, I understand that a lot of laptops don't have those. If you can't get one from your laptop manufacturer, then check out: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=537&name=Replicators-Docking-Stations" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory ... g-Stations</a> I apologize if I'm giving you info you already have, but Newegg is my go-to place for this kind of stuff. The reviews there are actually trustworthy, and I've never had an issue with them, even when I had to return items. I'd suggest going with one of the USB solutions, after the laptop-specific docking stations, the usb tend to be the second most reliable. The TOSHIBA PA3575U-1PRP seems pretty decent from the quick look I took through its listing. What are your reasons for wanting a docking station/replicator? What are you going to be using the laptop for while it is docked? The answers to those questions might change what I recommend.
Thanks, I appreciate the tips. I am just looking for something to plug all my crap into so that I can just plug that one line into my laptop. I work from home a lot, so I need a second monitor, so that would often be plugged in. I also would like to plug speakers into it so I don't have to detach them from the laptop every single time I get up. A lot of reviews I have read say that many of the docking stations cause interference with speakers, or the scroll on the second monitor is not good, or the resolution sucks, etc... Just looking for something that will work. I do not play games online, and I do not care about watching movies on the extra monitor EDIT: Example A <a class="postlink" href="http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductReview.aspx?Item=N82E16834995759" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductRe ... 6834995759</a> This is one of the highest rated on newegg, but 2 or 3 of the 6 reviews complain about it lagging on the second monitor.
I would guess that a lot of those lag problems are caused by the laptop they're using, and what they're trying to do, more than the docking station. Yes, the USB will cause a bottleneck if you're trying to send too much info through it. If you're trying to use 2 or 3 screens at once, all at high resolutions, and play video on one or more of them all at the same time, then it's going to lag. There's just no way that the USB and your computer's cpu and graphics card can keep up with all of that. If you're only using the monitor connected to the docking station, or it and the laptop monitor, and you're using it for document editing, programming, and even some web surfing, then you'll probably be fine. You won't find a universal docking station that will allow you to do multiple high-res monitors with video and no lag, you need a model-specific one like Lenovo has, so that they can plug into the internals with no bottlenecks. At least, that's been my experience, which may or may not be worth 2 cents.
My wife and I are going thru IVF right now. Today was her egg retrieval and they told me to come back this afternoon to give a second specimen. When we called to see if the second sample was better, we were told the doctor had gone home for the day. They would've called us if there was a problem, right? They're not going to be jackasses, wait until tomorrow to tell us if there's still a problem, right?
I went through IVF for 9 years. The only time my ex husband was asked to provide a second sample, was when they retrieved 16 eggs and simply ran out of sperm !! That was the cycle that I got pregnant on, too. Unless your doctor is a complete dickface, I would take it as a good sign.
