Based on that being a 4 car garage, you are looking at around 20,000 SF for the first story alone. Looks like at least the right side is two story. Not quite sure about the left. There is most likely some single story spaces.

I'd say minimum 30,000 SF up to 36,000 SF. If there is a basement, add another 15-20k to that total, easy.

Biggest house I ever worked on was 25,000 SF including the basement. That place was disturbingly big. There was a golf swing room, a 600 SF room for three cats with its own isolated ventilation system. Too many rooms to count. Most of which were too big and many were unnecessary and irresponsible.

This is just stupidly big for the sake of being big. I guess if you have the millions and millions for this and the 6 digit yearly costs to run, go for it. I can't even imagine the staff needed just to keep dust to a minimum in a place like this.

Give me a great piece of land, a decent budget and an amazing home can be made in the range from 2000 SF to 3500 SF.

Do you know where this house is or who's it is or did you just find this through google maps?

My internet speed has dropped to 500 Mbps in the last couple weeks, yet my upload speed is 1.5k. Comcast states everything looks good on their end.

I've reset the router and modem. I've updated my spyware and virus software and scanned the system. I've also repaired the registry.

    Anything else I'm missing here?

The State of the Union address is tonight, and it's usually around 90 minutes long. I'm pretty sure the speech could be condensed to about 20 minutes if you take out all the applauses; is there any way to watch it online afterwards and does anyone edit it down?

Do I use -is- or -are- in this sentence?

Part of the problem are people as busy as you are allowed...

    Problem is singular; use "is."

Can somebody tell me where to get legal information about trading bootleg recordings of live music concerts? (Not pirate or counterfeit recordings, but audience-recordings of live shows that were not released for sale.)

I want to know what the actual laws are concerning this. I would like to know what is the actual crime with which I would be charged if no money has changed hands and if:
    - these recordings were in my possession
    - I sent a copy of these recordings to someone else
    - I received a copy of these recordings from someone else

I've asked two attorney friends of mine and a friend who is a US Deputy Marshal. I get a range of answers like "It's probably not a good idea" or "I think you could get in trouble for that" or "It's probably illegal but nobody prosecutes it." I've done a little bit of research, but I can't seem to find out what the actual laws are, or how to find them.

I don't know this to be the case, but I get the impression that attorneys won't counsel me on specifics until they have a specific criminal charge to defend. And, I live in Georgia, if there are different laws in different states, but hypothetically, these trades crossed state lines, so there may be some federal commerce laws in play.

Edit: I'm looking for actual information about law or crimes that were prosecuted, not anecdotal speculation.

Does anyone here work for a bank - specifically the fraud department? Last month, my debit card was stolen and I incurred nearly $1,000 in fraudulent charges. I immediately canceled the card and filed a police report, but my claim was still denied by the bank because the transactions were pin-based (I'm unsure how the pin could've been used). I'm still trying to dispute the denial before the temporary credit I received is reversed. I'm looking for anything I might be able to say or do to help convince the bank that the charges were, indeed, fraudulent.

Please PM me if you can offer any advice.

or short version, is for singular, are for plural. Part of the problem is that people as busy as you are allowed would be a better construction.

Does anyone have one of the new ipods and use it semi as a phone? I'm thinking along the lines of using the gmail talk feature with a headset on your ipod. Please pm me if you have experience with this, I'd like to know how straightforward and/or effective it is.

This is a long shot, but...

Any real estate lawyers out there, or someone with knowledge of the Protecting Tenants at Foreclosure Act of 2009?

The house I'm renting with a bona fide lease through August 2011 is going up for public auction March 3 and I have some questions, particularly about rent payments post-foreclosure and the fact that we've paid the last month's rent and a security deposit to the current owner, who's losing the home.

Most States have a local government agency that handles that kind of stuff.

    A quick Google brought up this: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.hud.gov/local/co/renting/tenantrights.cfm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.hud.gov/local/co/renting/tenantrights.cfm</a>

I'd get a hold of them and see what they have to say.

I wear these all day and love them.

I think they were closer to $150, but worth every penny in my opinion.

My wireless internet sucks more cock than the Jonas Brothers and Kesha in a bathroom with the richest members of NAMBLA and Ben Rapistberger. It will randomly lose speed, ping goes way up, and it's just a pain in the ass. It's not a channel issue, because unplugging my router and modem for a few moments usually fixes the issue, and it doesn't occur at any particular time of day. The network is secure with a password that isn't going to cracked unless somebody believes the Holy Grail is on the other side.

Are there any settings I can change to fix this? I've used Google to no end and nothing works, so I'm hoping to find someone with an identical issue and something beyond "Turn your modem around". I know that the best solution would be to get wired, especially since Clear is the soul-sucking Verizon of internet, but I'm really not in a position to upgrade right now.

I've used a shit ton of different headphones for mixing and location sound (and general music listening), and the best ones in terms of sound quality and comfort have been the Sony MDR7506's. The only problem with these is that they have a spiral cord, not a straight. Depending on what you do, this may be a plus or minus, but take note of that. Definitely the best bang for the buck, and when you wear them all day you don't even notice. Also under $100.

I haven't listened to the Shure's Nettdata posted and I'm sure they'll work well too, but I absolutely cannot stand any of Sennheiser's offerings in the ~$100 headphone market. Absolutely uncomfortable things, and they don't sound that great either. The only positive reviews I've seen of any of Sennheiser's headphones in this price range have been on the internet, personal opinion and the opinions of many of the people I work with are that they are a total pain in the ass on your ears. Stay away.

Be aware that with the Sony headphones, if they're the ones I'm thinking of, you can't replace the cord. I had a pair, and it bugged the shit out of me. It's got a proprietary twist-lock connection at the end of the spiral cord into the earpiece that means you can't replace the headphone cable with any readily available slim/straight one that isn't as heavy. You're pretty well stuck with the spiral unless you hack something up yourself. I even went to Sony to try and buy a replacement, but had no luck.

Your mileage may vary, but that was my experience.

They sounded great and were comfortable, except for the cord being a real pain in the ass.
