Go to Mother's for breakfast. They'll serve you Bloody Marys while you wait your turn in line for a table. Cajun shrimp omelette with grits, po'boys...you can't go wrong. Good place to fuel up before a drinking marathon. If Dwayne Dopsie & The Zydeco Hellraisers are performing in any of the FQ bars, go see them. They're awesome.
Taxes...woo Ok, I am a resident of PA, going to school and working in NY. I am not a dependent. I need to make sure I file all the correct forms for my taxes. I have my w2 from my job, my t9 from my school with my scholarships, tuition, etc listed. I will file the 1040, prob 1040ez (don't think I have any extenuating circumstances not to). Does anyone know, or can anyone point me in the right direction, for knowing which state forms I need to file? Or if I've missed anything, etc. I have last year's return to use as a guideline (somewhere around my office...), but last year I was a dependent, and there were a few errors that resulted in refiling, so not the best template. Thanks for any help!
Any insurance agents / claims agents on the board? Four months ago I was in an auto accident through no fault of my own. Car was towed to a body shop and repaired. I paid my deductible and was reimbursed by my insurance, and their insurance reimbursed mine by January. I figured everything was done. Today I get a check in the mail from the other insurance company for 700 and some odd dollars, with a memo in the stub referring to property damage liability. Can anyone clue me in as to what this means? Nothing I was carrying in my car was damaged. Check was addressed to "(bigwags and bigwags' insurance), (bigwags' address). Thanks in advance guys.
Can anyone point out a site to download telenovelas? Specifically, one called Caminho das Índias? My typical dl sites don't even come close.
Property damage is the damage the other party caused to your vehicle. It's weird your company reimbursed you your deductible before getting the subrogation money from the other carrier. Normally they don't until that happens or the other carrier reimburses you directly. I suspect they have made a mistake and double paid. What was the deductible? Did you rent a car? If you didn't because you had other means the other company still has to pay you for a rental vehicle just as if you had rented one so that may have something to do with it as well. And bigwags, I am personally offended you didn't know I am the TiB Resident Insurance Bitch. Pffft.
I'm looking for the Geometric 415 font group, and I can't find a free download or a torrent anywhere. Can someone point me in the right direction without shelling out 49.95 or so?
I live in Winnipeg, but I'm flying home to visit my family this Christmas. I want to bring my dogs, but Air Canada has blackout dates on pet travel for the months of December and January. Anybody have any ideas as to how I can ship dogs from Winnipeg to, say, London or Toronto?
Most methods of shipping animals involve effectively putting them in luggage and would likely be just as subject to a blackout. Your best bet unfortunatly would be trying a different air service provider. Porter bans all pets, but give a check into westjet.
Any suggestions on locating beach houses for rent in the LA area? I've been looking on www.vrbo.com but don't know any others that are worthwhile.
I have a question for the lawyers out there dealing with privacy laws, specifically HIPPA. If you can help me, please PM. Thanks.
Despite the fact that you are trying to get your pups around Canada, I offer this bit of knowledge for all pet owners everywhere: For fucks sake, do NOT put them on a Delta flight. Delta has a nasty reputation for letting pets freeze/overheat to death on the tarmac, despite owners paying extra to have them removed immediately upon landing. I can gather you many horror stories of airlines totally fucking up pet deliveries (if you are returning home from overseas, you don't have much choice but to put your pet on a flight and pray) but the bottom line is: do whatever you can to not put them on a commercial passenger plane, especially if it is a Delta flight. There is this site but it is limited to America. It's worth the time, money and hassle if you ask me but sometimes you are short of all three. Good luck either way! http://petairways.com/
Hello Fellow Dallasites, I found a condo I really love, but I have a few questions about the area. I'd rather not get into the exact area/intersection on the board, but if someone who knows a lot about Dallas neighborhoods (think northwest) could PM me I would be eternally grateful. The internet is not very informative/I don't know how much I trust my Uptown friends/ProMove people. Thanks!
I opened up a link from an email, and my internet went down, telling me I had a Trojan. It was a fake program showing viruses and asking for credit card info, not allowing me online. I shut off my computer as soon as that happened, loaded in safe mode, and restored from a previous point. I can get online now and the problem appears to be gone, but I'm still a bit worried. Is there any anti-virus program anyone recommends I use? I'm worried that I might still be carrying something...
Boot into Safe Mode with Networking. Download Malwarebytes, install, and run a full scan. That should do the trick if there's still bad files residing on your computer. Also, check your internet properties to make sure it didn't set up your computer to point to a proxy... Sometimes Malwarebytes and other anti-malware applications miss that when scanning.
Is there any way that I can download a show from hulu and save it to a disk? I want my students to watch this documentary but the bandwidth whenever I want to show it at school is so crappy that it keeps stalling out. I want to download it to a disk so it can just play instead of relying on a crappy stream. The video is free but I'm technologically challenged and don't know if this is even possible.
Here we go again: can anyone recommend a web hosting service? I don't need anything spectacular, it's mostly for showing pictures of architecture and buildings, but the current host has got to go. Thanks in advance.
Can anyone recommend a good netbook, for around $300? My computer just died, and I need something to use for the basics till the new term in the fall, when I will have to buy a brand new computer anyway.
