Lots of things will colour the urine, and some will make it especially pungent (especially asparagus). That aside, and in the absence of ingested factors, urine is supposed to be light to clear as you progress through the day. It's a sign of good health and proper hydration. Dark urine is an indication of a number of untoward things such as lack of hydration (urine is concentrated), accumulation of waste products in the blood or kidney dysfunction.
If you over hydrate the day of your test you should be pissing extra dilute urine, which could give you a better chance of passing. You could try popping a multi vitamin or something to add a little color to your pee since I've heard that they look for extra dilute pee. Since you have a couple of weeks, take Scootah's advice and drink a lot in your remaining days. Tea (or really anything with caffeine) would be a good idea.
A guy I know swears by Redi-Clean. He's a total stoner, but has always passed a piss test. Since the test is tomorrow, I'd go to the pharmacy, buy a drug urine test kit and test myself. If it comes back positive, I'd get the Redi-Clean, use it, then retest myself to see if it works. Just be sure to read the directions to see what the time relation factor is between using the Redi-Clean and filling their cup. I think it's a masking agent so you need to know it's effectiveness window, if it does work.
Down some ipecac right before you go in and buy yourself some more time. Failing that, drink gallons of cranberry juice.
Or drink a bunch of red food colouring and scream while issuing the sample. If you're gonna go out, might as well get some laughs on the way.
As a language student who has used numerous methods from audio based learning programs, in class lecture, and hanging around people, I can tell you Rosetta Stone sucks. I tried using it to learn Arabic and didn't learn a damn thing. I tried Michel Thomas method and that works pretty well because he teaches you using the verbs. I've used MT for German, French, and colloquial Arabic and can vouch for that method as I've taken lecture classes of all of those languages as well. Pimsleur I also hear is pretty good if you want to get the accents down.
I would argue that learning a language with a different alphabet or other writing system via Rosetta Stone sucks donkey balls, but for learning another Roman script language it's at least somewhat decent. I have the most experience with Rosetta Stone's German program, but have also looked at their Arabic, Russian, Chinese, and Spanish stuff. Spanish and Russian* were significantly more helpful than Arabic or Chinese. *Cyrillic's easier for me than Arabic.
When they give you the piss cup, ejaculate in the cup and say that's all that came out. Pretty sure it won't show up on their urinalysis.
I've also used RS for German and French (I see I didn't include it) and was still very unimpressed. The best method obviously is going to be different for everyone, but for me RS did not work. my $ .02 Edit: First part had nothing to do with discussion.
I've been put in charge of finding and hiring the right salesman to head up a minor division. This person will be on their own, the only salesman in the department, responsible for sales all up and down the Pacific Coast. They'll be out on the road, on their own a majority of every work week. They'll only come into the office occasionally for meetings and updates, but mostly we'll communicate by phone and they'll be able to work from home when they're not on the road. And they're expected to be on the road, meeting customers and establishing relationships, 3-5 days a week. I know there are people on this board who've been conducting interviews and hiring employees for years and years. I have experience, but, basically, I'm a rookie. I'm working on creating a list of interview questions. Specifically, I'm asking for help filling out my list but any general tips or suggestions or advice an experienced interviewer wants to throw my way is greatly appreciated as well. I'd prefer PMs but I'll be checking this thread too if you want to respond publicly. Thanks in advance.
Way back whenever the fuck, there was a conversation on this board or the last about personal hygiene products, and a bunch of people swore by this one all-purpose product that I can't remember the name of. Apparently it works as a shampoo and body wash, and apparently you could feasibly brush your teeth with it, but it tasted nasty. Ring a bell to anyone?
Probably Dr. Bonner's magic soaps. http://www.amazon.com/Dr-Bronners-Magic-Soaps-Pure-Castile/dp/B001ET725W/ref=pd_sbs_sg_7
Can anyone recommend a decent Android app that can be used to track my checking account? I've read up on Mint and it's gotten mixed reviews. I'm also not sure how I feel about linking my bank account directly to an app. I guess what I'm looking for is something I can type a starting balance into that will a) monitor my balance and b) track what I'm spending money on. I could build a spreadsheet and have it on my phone, but it would be much easier (and quicker) if I could just punch in $15 and "pizza" and it would both change my balance and add to, say, the "take-out food" category. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
I live in Cleveland and the upcoming Marvel comic movie "The Avengers" is going to be filming here. Since it features Scarlett Johansson and is directed by Joss Whedon, I'd really like to make it as an extra. Does anyone here have any idea how I can improve my chances of being selected? The open casting call is on July 14, just announced today. Any tips? This is a bit dumb but I'm extremely interested in being an extra, as dumb as it may sound to some!
I was kind of skeptical about it too, but I tell you what, this app makes things a fuckton easier than logging into 20 million different websites to check balances. I've got my truck, checking, savings, and cc accounts linked on this guy. I highly recommend this app.
Walk around where they're shooting and just keep saying the line, "Man, these pretzels are making me thirsty!"
Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap? http://www.drbronner.com/ If not, I highly recommend this stuff for everything. Bonus, read the bottle while taking a shit, priceless.
I'm too lazy to look but I'm sure there have been reviews. For my 27th birthday I'm going to buy a new bed. My back has gotten bad, I get shitty sleep, and I've had my current mattress for about 8 years (standard pillow top that cannot be flipped). I'm looking at a Tempur Pedic. Does anyone have any suggestions/reviews/advice? I'm looking to spend around 2k (American) or so and get a queen size. My mom has been asking what I want for my birthday (I tell her nothing but she wont listen) so I'm thinking about suggesting a pillow or two. Are those worth it?
This feels like a stupid question, but is there a way, in Windows, to keep the aspect ratio of a window when resizing it? If I'm playing emulated games in a window, I want to be able to change the size of the window without stretching and making it look all funny, and for the life of me I can't figure out how to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
