Montgomery Gentry has a version of Merry Christmas From The Family that is pretty good, if you like country music. Other favorites of mine include: The 12 Pains of Christmas by Bob Rivers Santa Claus Is Coming To Town by Bruce Springsteen The 12 Days of Christmas by Straight No Chaser Santa Claus Goes Straight To The Ghetto by Snoop Dogg
What was the verdict on that Christmas album that Bob Dylan did last year? I love me some Bob and gave dad a copy as a gift, but didn't get the chance to give it a listen. The Amazon reviews look polarizing (almost all 5 star or 1 star)...and given how people will fawn over anything Dylan, that leads me to think that it was probably awful.
Best Christmas Song Ever*: *Yes, I'm fully fucking aware that it is not really a Christmas Song. I worked at a 50's style McDonalds, fuck you I was 17 at the time, and for a month and a half all we had was Christmas music. To this day, whenever I hear 'Little Drummer Boy,' I want to punch someone in the mouth. Ho fucking Ho. Needless to say, I hate Christmas music with the fiery passion of a thousand suns.
I think a lot of you have missed the negative modifier to the word "suck" in the thread subject. Incidentally, just because it was a joke song - that may even have been funny in the context of a movie/show - doesn't mean it doesn't suck as Christmas music.
This is the first iBand I have seen. If you get bored at least skip forward to about 5:05 for the Feliz Navidad.
I dunno why but I've always loved this song. For some reason, it reminds me of Karen Allen but that's probably only because I'm fucking weird.
What does your grandmother have to do with The Trans Siberian Orchestra? Did Kung Fu Mike fuck her to the tune of Wizards of Winter? I bet she needed a hip replacement after that much crush.
