I haven't noticed a difference really. I did it first thing yesterday and still had some great games, still had some lag games.

As the man said. 95 + Acog + Silencer = rape town

I'm building my KDR up from having not played for a year or so, I got sloppy...

I made the mistake of playing fucked up tonight, I think I lowered my KDR by a full couple .01's

    One game, I went 2-4-25

    I cap'd a couple flags, but I couldn't aim for shit.

I usually call that Friday or Saturday night. Get back from the bar drunk enough that you can only see out of one eye, play COD for a couple of hours and then wake up the next morning trying to figure out how your KD dropped so much. It's kind of like a game within a game.

Good news PS3 players, I figured out that you don't have to dashboard in order to accept game invites. When you receive an invite, pay attention to who sent it. From the lobby bring up your friends list (triangle if I remember right), highlight their name and then press either the X or the triangle button (it's one of the two). In the menu that pops up there should be an option to view that player's messages. Select that and at the top of the list should be the most current invite.

It's not as quick as BO, and I am still pissed that there is no way to change your lobby from "Private" to "Open", but it's better than nothing.

Aside from the epeen factor, do stats matter? Ie. will you be penalized in some way by having a shitty KDR or rewarded for having a good one?
So far I've been running in Arnold style and trying to take as many people with me as I can. Might be that I ruin someone's game, but I'm having fun so I don't give a shit.

As long as you're having fun, play however you play.

But if you want to be on teams with people? That shit will get you kicked right quick. Team Teamwork is the watchword...

Apparently, one of the things in yesterday's update was they fixed the SPAS-12. I've yet to see for myself, but this brings good news.

I'm absolutely loving the Specialist strike package right now. On a good day I can usually manage seven kills in a row at least once a game, so I make hardline the first perk to unlock and it's off to the races. Having every perk after seven kills is pretty handy. I also learned recently you don't have to go in the order on the screen for your perk-streak setup. You can make sitrep or steady aim, one of the perks in the third section, unlocked first after two kills. Took me 25 or 30 games to figure that out.

So I've been playing survival. A lot. I just spent just over an hour on fallen and after 26 waves I am now ranked 9 in the world. I could have kept going but I got fucked by a random grenade that put me out instantly. SHIT.

Things I've noticed (although I'm not sure if this applies post-update)

    - The Trophy System blocks the Predator Missile kill streak. I'm not sure this one still works since my Trophy System didn't save me in the last game I just played.

    - This game feels like a modified MW2 and in fact, some of the mechanics carry over, like the frag grenades having a shit kill radius, leaving Semtex as the only real viable choice.

    - T95+Rapid Fire is still beastly.

    - The Portable Radar tactical equipment provides a large UAV like coverage for you AND your entire team, in contrast to the Motion Sensor in BO.

    - You cannot stack big kill streaks like Osprey Recon (or whatever the hell the Support streak is called). At least not within the same life. If you earn 2 of them but try to keep one in your pocket, you've wasted one of those kill streaks.

    - Shotguns blow ass. You're better off with the PP90.

    - When you've unlocked the Specialist streak (7-8 kills), you get ALL of the weapon proficiencies as well as all of the perks, even ones you're not high enough to have unlocked. HOWEVER, you have to unlock the pro-perks to see their benefits in the specialist chain.

    - Bouncing Betties can survived without Blast Shield if you go prone before it explodes.

    - The spawns still suck donkey dick and it's infuriating.

    - Recon Pro is phenomenal for tagging people, especially with a competent team.

    - If you're having problems with connecting to a party, there's a rumor floating around that you may have to clear your 360's cache and then reinstall the updates. I don't know the technical reason.

    - Quick scoping is the lamest thing I've ever seen. It's also back in force.

Try this class if you want to have som fun. Works great on maps with tight corners, small hallways etc, and especially fast-paced modes like Kill Confirmed:

    PP90
    - proficiency: attachments
    - attachments: rapid fire and silencer (small maps also means short distances to opportunistic, avenge-hungry teammates)
Extreme Conditioning (use this to flank to or three enemies at a time; the maps are quite small)
Hardline (to get your first perk quickly)
Steady Aim (this gives the gun an almost shotgun-like quality)

    Strike package: Specialist
    1st perk: Sleight of Hand
    2nd perk: Scavenger
    3rd perk: Assassin

On gametypes like domination cap a flag and you`ll get Sleight of Hand immediately, then simply round a corner and press the fire button. The crazy recoil will net you headshots galore. Two kills and you`ll get Scavenger (this thing tears through ammo fast), two more and you`ll get Assassin. You are now an (almost) invisible whirlwind of bullets. Once you get all perks (and remember, all proficiencies), remember to use them. Stun people around corners incessantly to paint enemies on the minimap, scavenge som ammo, chuck grenades with blinding speed and creep up on people with Dead Silence. Other team feels safe with a Pave Low in the air? Blind Eye, motherfucker.

    Enjoy!

Yeah like I said UMP with silencer and rapid fire and scavenger is beast mode. I am tiring seriously on the P95 3 round burst. After you lose multiple gun battles to multiple enemies where you were killed between burst because they are spraying your ass with autofire I switched to the ACR. Still it does make you more cautious as a player and can restrain you from running repeatedly into the meat grinder.

Recon pro is officially the most underrated perk in the game. Blackbird for 10 seconds, after hitting a guy with a bullet? Yes, please.

It's only 5 seconds if the person you shoot has Dead Silence.

What is with the consensus that seems to be going around that the maps suck? Most of the people on my friends' list and randoms I talk to online, as well as a few people on YouTube (most notably Sandy Ravage) say that the layouts are bad, because of all the choke points and long lines of sight. Maybe it's because I mainly use the L118, but I've never found the layouts to be a problem. In fact, I love all but 3 or 4 of the maps.

In other news, some of you might find this funny, if you like thinly-veiled sarcasm.

Maps are great. Only complaint about this game is the terrible spawn points. Fucking terrible. It seems like they want people to run and gun less.

Just went 32-1 on Underground, so that is now my new favourite map.

Also, I think your assualt killstreaks re-start, even if you haven't died yet.
