you're insane. You can shoot through the tank on Dome. Bullets without Impact proficiency rip through corners and walls. You're best off holding your dick in the fucking open praying for a better connection than the other poor sap. This game is the most frustrating experience. I want to love it but the lag compensation, the spawning and most of the maps just plain disappoint me. But that 1 game per day where you get a good connection on one of the better maps (dome, interchange) and you don't get spawn raped by everyone makes it all worth it.
Hey all, I went ahead and created "The Idiot Board" clan for PS3 on elite. Just go to connect on the side bar and then click the clan tab on top and search existing clans for "The Idiot Board" if you would like to join up, as of now I am the sole member. Looks like this will be a good way to track each others play if nothing else. Also we can get clan xp whatever that is. Apparently COD Elite is having problems (which should surprise precisely nobody), so uploading clips is a bit of a problem. When I render it on my console, everything looks dandy. But when I check my YT account, nothing's there. It worked well up until that point, though. Cool story, though: last night while playing Domination, a guy killed me by the C flag on Bakaara (the one on the little hill). I spawned back by A (we had all three flags capped at the moment), so I look up to C and throw a random knife. About a second later, he starts to take the flag; 2 seconds after that, I nailed him. The best part was the surprised "What the fuck??" exclamation I heard from his mic. I wanted to save it, but alas, the game didn't save in the theater for reasons known only to Robert Bowling.

Some nice video's. I love the one that comes up first with you just killing people by throwing nades right at them. I had the opposite problem with spawning on one map last night. Was playing on Bakaara i was spawning at the very very back corner and the entire other team was behind the chopper. Not like it is that far, but usually you spawn a little bit closer then the farthest point.
To the guy who said shotguns are shit, wait until you unlock extended mags and put on the range proficiency. My fucking god. I don't even aim down sights anymore with the Striker, it's a quad machine. I also don't run killstreaks. Specialist is awesome, it makes you rank up so fast. Some tips? - Wait until you're on a 8 (or 7 with Hardline) killstreak to chuck flashes in the air to tag people for Recon Pro. - Collect EVERY scavenger pack. What I'm getting at is: Abuse those perk challenges. My basic Striker class is SoH pro, Assassin pro and Sitrep pro. I also pick damage above range because when you get all perks and proficiencies with Specialist, for some reason you don't get damage. This game needs to fix the hit marker sounds, the spawns and this bullshit lag compensation where 2bars are surprising 4bars. Stalker only exacerbates this. I'll be playing ring around the rosie with some guy and he'll be chasing me, I'll look back, not see him and die. In the killcam he's right behind me. Or even better, some guy has the high ground and head glitches into sight and kills me. I didn't even see the guy and he sees me for like a second. Are you fucking kidding me? Stuff like that is just infuriating.
I still haven't even touched the SP campaign or any of the spec ops stuff, between multi-player and Skyrim my game time has been pretty full. I've been really wanting to try the spec ops survival mode though, anyone interested in hitting that up? Also, I'm dissapointed that the fun game types like Gun Game are only usable for those private group games, gun game is a blast. I would love to get some people together from here to hit up some of those gametypes.
I enjoy a game of spec op's every once and a while. It is just nice to have someone with you that knows how to play, have to many people just go off running after the enemies. That is fine when you are at a lower level, but doesn't work to well once you get above say lvl 10, too easy to get flanked. I find it easier to get a building with 2 entrances, and each of you take one. Had a couple of games of domination at lunch. Spawning was so bad, i watched my own dead corpse fall down the stairs.
Yeah, don't know if you sent the invite or not. I'm not ever sure if I have to buy the Elite upgrade to join the clan. I can look at the Clan's stats and thats it. I'll upgrade on the 15th when I get paid.
All I can do is view stats as well, I see no join option. Played a few games last night using the MK14, its a two shot gun but I don't recommend rushing with it. I didn't post high numbers with it but for some reason I liked using it. I want to get into using shotguns more but I get my ass handed to me every time I try.
My MW3 rental is due tomorrow, so I'm bringing it back in exchange for AC: Revelations. I figured I'd go ahead and share something nifty. First picture is simply for reference: I'm also leaving this game ranked 17th in the world for the Butcher accolade (most throwing knife kills) with an even 500. Nothing I'd tell on a first date or anything, but I thought it was pretty awesome. Having said all that, I'll be playing this game again on the 7th of Never until they fix the litany of connection-based issues this game has. It has huge potential for being fun, but there's too much holding it back right now to take it seriously.
I don't know what's going on with the clan invites. They show up in the "pending invites" area. Maybe elite is just fucking up (shocker).
I couldn't join up via the PS3, but I logged on using the laptop and everything worked perfect. Right now its just two members, but it will be a good way to track performance. I retract anything I said about shotguns in this game, I had the best match earlier, went 53-18 on Dome running Striker/Damage/Extended Mags + SOH Pro/Assassin Pro/SteadyAim Pro.
I might try this out, I haven't even touched the shotguns yet. I thought I was going to like the MK14 rifle, but...meh. I think I found my favorite setup, been using it the last two nights and have been doing pretty well: ACR, Silencer and Holographic/hybrid sight Stinger, claymore, flash/concussion grenade Blind Eye/Hardline/dead silence Specialist strike package with assassin pro->recon pro->scavenger pro Great stealth setup, and the ACR is a beast. I'm enjoying the specialist package more than I thought I would. With hardline as a core perk, I have assassin with 1 kill, rounding out the stealth setup. By 5 kills I'm running low on ammo, but I pickup scavenger at that point which is perfect. I've gotten the 'all perks' reward a couple times now and it's great, makes you feel like a fucking machine. I switch that up with a Barret .50cal setup, which works great on some maps. Another setup that is pretty fun sometimes is my 'run and gun', but it can be pretty hit and miss. It's a PP90M1 sub with kick and rapid fire and the scavenger and steady aim pro perks. With steady aim pro, I just run around and hip fire spray at people, but with rapid fire on an SMG, you can kill quick. Of course, that run and gun play style get's you killed a lot.
