I basically had to create a new login with another email address and attach my account to that. Tech support is pretty fucking useless FYI.
This. I had to look it up after I received the Infected title soon after the game came out. I guess some of the devs were infected when the game was released, and then the infection was passed on by stabbing somebody. There is no benefit to it, it's just a cool title. Sandy Ravage released a few videos after a bit of a hiatus. Here is some ass kicking on Ground War:
http://attackofthefanboy.com/news/moder ... fs-akimbo/ I guess the next patch is rolling out today, buddy of mine sent me the link above, personally I never had much issue with the Akimbo setups. I will admit to using the Striker a ton, interested in how much they toned it down, but I have mastered it twice now and haven't used it since I prestiged again. I don't see myself using it anymore anyway, I got bored with it after using it so much.
I would hope they would be stronger, they have a faster rate of fire, and you have two of them. Sure they aren't that accurate, but like you said within 15feet they should own.
With the FMGs though it was like a laser beam. As long as you had someone in your crosshairs you would mow them down, even if they were a seemingly impossible distance away. I have already grown a bit tired of the game so I have not been playing it very much lately (maybe once or twice a week for a few games). Hopefully the new maps revitalize things a bit.
I was walking through Wal-Mart yesterday and saw a Turtle Beach PX21 headset and figured it had been long enough to not have one, and bought it. Wow. The difference between the headset and my surround sound is unbelievable. It's like having a set of surround sound speakers in each ear. Running Ninja Pro is almost unfair to other people without a headset. My first game with it I probably got seven to eight extra kills just from hearing someone running I wouldn't normally have heard and waiting for them to come around a corner. If Sitrep Pro wasn't such an asshole to get I'm sure that would make even more of a difference. Plus, being able to adjust the game volume and chat volume separately is pretty handy, as my ears used to bleed from the volume most people talk at. All-in-all, a purchase I would highly recommend.
Nice. I had the exact same headset for about two years, until it broke a month ago. Being able to adjust the game sound and chat volume separately really is a nice feature, as is being able to flip a switch to mute the mic instead of having to depress a button the entire time like some cheaper headsets. I need to buy another headset soon as it's very hard to play without a headset once you get used to hearing EVERYTHING in the game. And according to some of the big YouTube commentators (xcalizorz comes to mind), playing with SitRep Pro and a headset should almost be illegal. The only thing that class can't pick up on is Dead Silent Pro, which not very many people run anyways from what I have seen.
Re: Re: CoD Addicts Thread Turtle Beach PX-5's are what I just recently picked up, and they are perfect. You don't even need SitRep, they have a custom setting that amplifies footsteps, I don't have SitRep Pro since I prestiged again but I might try and get it back just to see what it would be like. I can get 15 hours of use out of the PX-5's just using regular batteries, and that's also being paired to my phone during gameplay as well. Its pretty cool to take a call in the middle of a match and have it work seamlessly.
Nice. PX5s look badass, but I have a hard time currently justifying dropping $200 on a headset. Plus I don't want to go wireless since my WiFi router is only a few feet away (a lot of people experience interference playing close to wireless APs), as well as getting the interference living in a densely populated apartment building with a shitload of other wireless devices. The joys of apartment living. I may just get a pair of P11s and call it a day for now and pick up a real headset down the road.
I have X11s and they're great for gaming or music, but this PX5 shit just seems like cheating. Also, $250 to up your k/d seems a bit extreme.
Re: Re: CoD Addicts Thread Yeah I would never have paid that kind of money for them, gift certificates from christmas kick ass. They are badass, but my K/D hasn't really improved, I am an average player.
After playing a few rounds of MW2 on my brother's XBL account, I think I'm decided on resubscribing this summer. UMP45 + silencer and Rob4Broncos' "camping but not really" strategy is still an excellent combination.
I don't know if it's been improved since a recent patch or anything, but I am tearing through people with the Scar w/ silencer. It's treating me just as well as the ACR was, although I will say the ACR was slightly more accurate for long distance kills
Anyone ever actually play with this dude? I feel like I'd just follow him around and stand in aww. I mean people have to recognize him all the time playing. Video was great.
He's definitely good but all I see in most of his videos are very bad people and a lot of luck. I've never seen someone get shot so many fucking times and not die. That shit never happens to me. If I get hit, I'm dead. Period. Although I'll give him a lot of credit, he is a fucking BEAST with air support.
I have watched a lot of his game play, including pretty much all of his live streams (I have a lot of downtime at work). From what I gather, Ravage gets thrown in to a lot of noob lobbies because he doesn't prestige. The matchmaking in both MW2 and BO makes an effort to throw you in lobbies with people around the same prestige. So in theory if you are just starting out you won't get thrown in to lobbies stacked with 10th or 15th prestige guys that will decimate you. And also keep in mind Sandy has a SERIOUS connection advantage. I believe he's running the 50meg Verizon FIOS package in NYC with practically zero latency. That is a monster advantage. That being said, I do not believe Ravage stays in the lower ranks just for easy pickings. He has made comments before when asked that there is no real point in prestiging if all you get as a reward are some fancy emblems and titles, an extra weapons class, and in the case of BO, gold camo. And after going relatively high in MW2 and maxing out to 15th in BO, I share the same view. There really isn't a point to leveling up. I prestiged once or twice in MW3 but am not going any further. My guns are mostly maxed out and I don't need any more weapon classes. Why bother? The dude can just flat out play. A while back when MW3 was still fresh, Ravage live streamed for a couple of hours with a stacked team. We're talking MarkOfJ, a couple of Optik guys, and a legit MLG player. In every single match, Ravage was in the top 2 on the leader board. Yes, I am a Sandy Ravage nut swinger.
My brother has the 50meg service in DC and I can say without a doubt that its a big advantage. I had great matches when I played a few games on his account. I also agree on not prestiging, I am third prestige MW3 and not planning to do it again. I only use a few classes and the prestige emblems don't mean shit to me.
