I usually only use combat training if I just prestige or have a new gun and need to get the first couple of attachments. I still have 2 perma-unlocks and don’t know what to use them on. The An-94 sounds good, but I’m hesitant to spend an unlock on a gun because that gun could get nerfed in a future patch. Mekka is right about engineer, it is now mandatory for all of my classes. Engineer allows me to avoid damage, have an idea of where enemies are, and helps earn scorestreak points. Good call on that. Had a good run last night with Flat Rate. I’ll be on again this weekend trying to prestige.
That last match was the worst spawn trapping I have experienced playing BO2, not sure what happened, enemy players running around the spawn and just raping people.
Yeah, but the community is very vocal about guns, making them more likely to get nerfed than equipment or perks. The last patch increased recoil and widened the hipfire spread of SMGs, decreased the range of the Remington, and increased recoil to the FAL and SMR if switched to automatic fire. I also try to switch to a new gun when I unlock all of the attachments on one. Using a perma-unlock on a gun would force me to commit to one gun and I think it's too early to do that. I’m more inclined to spend my perma-unlock on perks, but a lot of the ones I like (lightweight, hardline, toughness, extreme conditioning) are available early. There was a guy camping from a prone position in a few spots that I kept mistaking for a dead body. Another guy was using a knife only class and running circles around me. I gave up halfway though the match and used my knife/tomahawk class just to piss a few guys off with some lucky trick shots. In one lobby there were some guys talking about the benefits of toughness, so I looked it up on Youtube. Fast forward to the 1:10 mark: It looks like some of those instances where I had the jump on someone and lost the gunfight were due to the ridiculous flinch. I always thought it was lag.
Double XP weekend if any of you are still playing. Gamertag is LibertyBuddy if anyone wants to get down on some terrorist destruction. And not to discourage anyone, but I was just in a game where one guy went 112-2. There were K9 units, orbital VSAT's, and Swarms in play the entire time. I couldn't take two steps without dying. Is this some kind of hack or something?
No, your team was just not able to stop that guy. The killstreaks feed into each other and, so once you get rolling like that, you can be pretty hard to stop. I run with a group a lot, and once someone gets a VSAT, the rest of us tend to follow shortly to the point where we have complete knowledge of the enemies for the next several minutes.
If you guys haven't tried it already, the peacekeeper is spectacular. Just went 30-1 on one of the new maps with it.
Fuck if that isn't the case. Between host migration, flat out connection interruption, camping (this set of maps is worse, not better, than MW3 for the little shit stains), and being spawned with five enemy players immediately behind me, I'm reserving a seat on the anti-Treyarch bandwagon. Anybody else have this happen to you: you get the drop on some guys and empty half a magazine into their torso - hit markers and all - and they turn around and drop you with a single burst to the foot? Is that lag or is there some new combination that needs to be tweaked?
I've been saying it this entire thread. Fuck Treyarch. You think it'll shake out with patches and updates, but nope, they fucked up.
If anyone wants a fellow TiB'er to play with on mw3, my gamertag is marto___ (that's three underscores). I generally play Domination, but I don't mind something else.
At the very least it's made my swearing more creative. I called someone "dog cunt dressing" yesterday.
As a programmer, this is incredibly frustrating. The worst kind of hell is being sure you know what's wrong and not being able to do anything about it.
While this still happens to me in BO2 sometimes, it happened to me in MW3 literally every single game. So don't pretend it's only Treyarch.
Pretty sure it was racist. In BO2 news, I've barely played any regular multiplayer since I discovered how much fun Grief Zombies is. There are few things more satisfying than grouping up a ton of zombies, taking them over to the enemy team to overwhelm them and make them go down, then winning the game. It's a blast.
I'm still playing mw3, on the ps3. I went ahead and purchased all the multiplayer map packs. However, now I cannot find any multiplayer games. It only works when I hit select and revert back to the original maps (and then it's completely normal). Does anyone have a sultion for this - I obviously didn't want to fork out $40 for nothing. Google isn't much help. Thanks in advance.
It may be the fact that all the hardcore people that bought the maps jumped ship to BO2. Think about people that will essentially drop $100+ dollars on one game. I don't think they'd stay on for too long. I'll check this tonight and see if I have the same issue. I don't see how it could be a technical issue of the map packs installing wrong or whatever. Probably just not enough people playing with the maps.
Well, I can honestly say that putting off important tasks and projects to waste time on BO2 definitely does improve my game. Finally got gold on the MTAR and am four Bloodthirsties away from the same on the Remington 870. Also doing somewhat decent with a sniper rifle for the first time ever. I have an "I'm An Asshole" confession I might as well make here. I stole my own teammate's Escort Drone airdrop after it fell on him and crushed him. He knew I got it too, because he re-spawned right in front of me and emptied a magazine into me to show his disapproval.
