Two of them are; Crash and Overgrown from MW1. There are three new maps and 2 old.

Yeah, welcome to trying to play objective games with idiot randoms. I joined a casual clan just so that I could find people to play objective games with that didn't suck. Unfortunately, you either need a lot of friends to play with, or some type of clan to play with. Joining up with randoms almost never works.

Too bad its not a joke according to the article he linked to. Sad thing is that I will still pay for it, and so will everyone else I'm sure.

$15 is quite a lot, but I will probably end up buying it. I enjoy MW2 alot, but it started losing its fun playing the same maps over and over. I think the new maps will make it fun again (for a while, until the new maps get old)

$15 is a lot but that's about standard for map packs these days. They'll take every penny they can for these lame packs that are fucking free for PC users. Its even more hilarious when they charge you for maps you already bought or came with the previous iteration in the series. Sadly, I'll still buy it despite the ongoing fact that almost every map in a fps map pack is usually shit.

Ive never downloaded any extra content ever, is 15 bucks that blasphemous? I mean if they were charging 30-40 bucks, yeah I'd be pissed. Fifteen doesnt sound that bad.

You're talking roughly 25% of the purchase price of the game. The ENTIRE game. Are 3 new maps, and 2 old ones being converted over really worth 25% of the ENTIRE game? I don't think so. I'm pretty sure they didn't put in 25% of the time, effort and cost that they put into the original game into making those 3 new maps. Why should I pay that much?

I'm not gonna lie, I tried getting into Bad Company 2 but it blows. I'll probably end up shoveling my $15 bucks over and hope that the new Medal of Honor replaces COD. The guys at IW need some competition.

Everyone on this thread is lucky I'm not in charge of selling this thing, it would be around fifty bucks.
What? That's too expensive you say? Well, I guess that you're not getting any new maps puto.

I would pimp out every aspect of this game until the next game Cod comes out. All you fuckers would be buying t-shirts, keychains and posters. And you would love it like the moronic masses do for the next Twilight movie.
I'd put out a new map pack every four months until I had enough money to build full-scale replicas of all the maps.
Then I'd buy a whole shitload of rubber bullets and automatic weapons.
    Fuck Disneyland.
You're gonna spend every last dime at CoD:TRAINING GROUND (I'm actually undecided on the name.)
Where's the old lady want to go on vacation?
Who fucking cares? We're going to Vegas! *(The only place bat-shit crazy enough to allow this.)

    Fifteen bucks?
Be happy that I'm not in charge, you cheap bastards are getting off light.

Not sure if any other Aussies are in this thread, but the PSN servers have really gone to shit from my end. When I can get a game (at least 60-80% drop out after at least a two minute wait), the ping is dreadful. It's not engendering me to keep going with it, as I want to throw my controller at the screen in half the time I usually do.

I think I might go get Bioshock 2 and play that for a while until either I calm down or the situation gets better. If we're having more TiB get togethers, I'm down for that but anything else is very frustrating.

I'm paying the 15$ no problem and here's why. I really like playing MW2 but am getting tired of playing the same maps over and over especially in Hardcore Headquarters which limits the maps that are used. The new map pack is adding more hardcore game modes, which I play almost exclusively. I am excited to play the old maps with the new weapons/ equipment/ perks/ killstreaks. I've got almost 10 days of multiplayer in so far, so considering the amount of playing time I'm going to get from them, is not a bad deal to me. Sure it could be cheaper...so could a lot of stuff, but it's not. I guess I'm saying I like this game and want the new maps more than I want to try and make some kind of statement about the 5 extra dollars by not buying it.

What's the story with the map pack in relation to the PS3? Is it being released for PS3? Is it going to cost the same amount? Release date? All the articles seem to only talk about 360.

30 day Xbox exclusive then same price for both consoles. Or you can pay 1600 points for the Xbox version. How hard is it to earn a point on XBL?

I'm not surprised that so many people are going to be buying this map pack, but at the same time I'm shocked. 15 DOLLARS FOR 3 MAPS? Bobby Kotick is just an asshole who is trying to milk money out of any poor sap that ponies up the cash. I would think with over a billion dollars in sales, they would throw the fans a bone. "Hey thanks for being such great fans! We whipped up some maps for you guys to check out"

I laughed out loud when I saw that price tag. No way I'll be paying ANY money for DLC from this call of duty.

    * I'm a PC player, I feel like they pretty much shit on us. Can't believe I'm saying this, but heres to hoping Treyarch has their shit together for the next release. If not I'll just stick to Bad Company 2 until SC2 comes out.

I will be hesitant to buy the maps but I'm sure I will give in based on the amount of time I play the game.

Does anyone know what the playability of the different game types will be when the new maps come out? Also does anyone know that if the maps will become free or cheaper after a period of time?

    It's 1200 points.
It's pretty tough, you have to take out your wallet, enter your credit card info, and purchase 2000 of them (they come in 500, 1000, 2000, or 5000) so that you overpay, and end up with points sitting in your account doing nothing, because there's not enough left over to buy anything. Or, if you really want to earn those points, you can go to Wal-mart and buy a gift card type thing, then come home and have fun entering the code on the back of the card.

Then you have to add more the next time, until hopefully all your leftover points accumulate enough to be used. I guess you could by 1000, and then go back and buy 500, so you'd only have $4 sitting leftover in your account instead of $10. Either way the "points" are retarded, but since they use odd amounts that most people can't convert to $ in their heads ($25=2000 points) it causes people to spend way more for stupid shit than they should. Like my wife downloading songs for Rock Band, because 160 points per song doesn't sound like much. When I told her that it was $2 a song, all of a sudden downloading 20 songs didn't seem like such a good idea.
