Am I the only person who's favourite level is Scrapyard? I would take it (on FFA only, not any of the team games) over any other level in the game. Marathon Pro (for the climbing into the planes) + Lightweight + Commando with a tactical knife is fucking dominant on that level. In other news, I've felt like being an asshole lately so I've started using the Riot Shield, and I've been tearing it up. Once you figure out how to hit people and move around so they can't knife you, it's super easy since people usually can't think quick enough to lay down and shoot your feet or whatever. Went 24-4 on Highrise yesterday with a Pavelow and two Harriers, then went 30-8 on Crash, took a level off for my above Scrapyard class, then went 30-6 on Skidrow. Plus, it's extremely satisfying killing someone with a riot shield. As an added bonus, since this week is a double XP week for PS3 users, whenever a Harrier comes out, I just stand in a corner and absorb the impact for a shitload of XP.

I played a game of headquarters in Vacant, that shit was awesome. Especially when it's in the little room in the middle with windows on either side of it. The Striker got me a LOT of kills on that board. Carnival is a good place for a game like CTF. Good running routes through either side, so that once they catch on that you're going under the coaster and set up people to pick you off, you can go down the other side instead. And I love the perch at the top of the clown's mouth.
Installing the new map pack now. I recently came into some funds so I only downloaded the stimulus package a few days ago. I've got a bit of time now so I should be on a lot more. I still have never played with you guys so hopefully next time we have a big one I can participate.
Back from a 3-day break from the game after being constantly Commando tac-knifed to hell. Even the fucking animation sucks. It's like the guy is emphatically giving me the finger. Downloading the map packs now and looking forwards to kicking ass on Strike / Vacant. COD4 FTW. Chater, if you're going to give the PS3 back to Maltob, can't he just return the favor and buy you the map pack? Or am I missing something here? Also, chatrooms are the new hip thing. I'm still new at this, so I tend to use my close-in configuration (Ump w/cog, Striker w/reddot, scavenger, stopping power, ninja) as my default. Yeah, I picked up the RPD the other day, definitely love for those multi-kill situations where rifles aren't fast enough. I prestiged for the first time because during this double XP week, there can't be a better time. Also got the map-pack. I loved having to go back having the UAV, Care Package, and Predator Missile as KS. It just feels good getting those. I changed sensitivity, I'm not sure if it's helping or I'm playing smarter. All I know is that it'll take me forever to get my KDR up, it's not even a goal. I just play to get Chopper Gunners.
To those wondering about guns and their usage: They are all the same. Seriously. There is no right gun for one specific location because when you factor in enemy play styles, thats what decides how you should play. Depending on the people you are playing against, you might be best suited to use a sniper rifle on rust or a pistol on derail. What do I use? Well that depends on how im feeling that day. My favourite class for a while up until I stopped playing was: an SMG for the speed bonus, spas or javalin as a secondary and depending on the map, SoH pro or Marathon Pro, CB or Stoping Power pro and ninja pro. With this class when I'm on a roll I don't even reload, I just pick up the gun of the person I killed and keep going. Once you become proficient with all of the guns, life becomes much easier. One rule I have is that I always use my #1 or #3 sniper class on Overgrown. Always. Any questions let me know.
I've been knifed 15 - 20 times today from the front while using the riot shield. I've watched the kills in the kill cam, and the person's knife won't even come close to touching my back but I'll die. Fuck, is it ever pissing me off.
*Cue cheesy testimonial music* The RPD has changed my life. I've been going 1.5 KDR per game since using it seriously. I'm having more fun than I've ever have. I'm also going back and forth between running 3-4-5 and 3-5-7 kill streaks and it is a beautiful thing. I honestly don't think I'll ever be good enough to get a nuke, but I'm okay with that. God bless the RPD. And on another note, I'm having a field day with the M4. I first used it for what? 2 hours before switching to the FAMAS. I feel like the M4 is that fat girl I didn't appreciate at first, but then learned she gave amazing head a year later. Oh Prestiging is good for something.
I bought an Xbox 360 yesterday purely based off how much everyone seems to rave about CoD. The instruction manual didn't even have control instructions. What the hell sort of manual is that.
Agreed, the M4 is an awesome weapon. Hell, they're all awesome. Guns I just can NOT work with: - F2000: It never goes where I want it to go. It's a shame because I heard once you learn how to work the recoil, it becomes very deadly. - Mini-Uzi: The iron sights piss me off. It's like the L86, same sights, sort of. That's about it. Return the Xbox, all the arguments of it's superiority are ridiculous and pointless. Get a PS3, and yes, you are welcome. Blu-Ray? Oh it's already there. What an update for 3D Blu-Ray for free? Yes, you're welcome. Online for free? Oh my, I can't believe it either. Controllers with built in battery packs you can charge with any old mini-USB? Yes, yes it's true! Are there 10 million more people playing on Xbox Live? Yes there are, but the PS3 has 10 million at least, and how many of them do you really need to play with? Thank you, and let us know your PSN when you change. But if the Xbox 360 controller fits better in your hands and you have a shit ton of "friends" besides us that have 360, go for it. Otherwise, PS3. (I don't mean to start an Xbox v PS3 war. I'm just advising to the best of my knowledge which is way too much for my own tastes.)
It was the cheapest. I was grocery shopping and just picked it up. I have no need for all the features a 'gamer' would be after. I simply wanted to see what all the raves about CoD were about and didn't see a reason to buy a more expensive console. That being said I would have no issue buying a PS3 in a weeks time if I thought it was warranted.
Thanks, I have to say, that was all fucking team work there. Everyone figured out the system and got on the same page without even talking on mics. I love it. That doesn't happen much. Also, no one was using Noobtubes or I wouldn't have been able to do it. Toddus, the PS3 isn't actually more or less of a "gamer" system than Xbox. It's just easier to plug and play. No batteries for the controller, and an email address to play online and you can use any old blue-tooth for a headset. Forgot Xbox is 199 now.
Not to mention playing online is free, so the cost will more than favor the ps3 in the long run anyway.

I fucking hate TDM. It blows when you go 40-3 and still lose because two dipshits on your team are straggling along the bottom of the scoreboard going 5-21. Fuck it. I don't feel like carrying anyone anymore. It's amazing how many people straight up ignore the 'Domination' part of Domination and act like it's TDM. Yesterday our party played against this other clan and they were ALL Marathon/Lightweight/Commando Tac knifers with painkiller. It was hilarious. They were raping at first then they all started dying in packs once I started using the Spas. Also, they weren't too bright so they didn't shoot down the air support resulting in many, many Harrier / Pave Low kills. Ended the match at like 80 kills. Also, bless the good lord for inventing the map called Vacant. It's the best god damn map I've ever seen. Except for those corner campers of course. But you can just run away from those if you rush fast enough. Awesome. I have a new strategy for shooting down air support. If I'm going for a Pave/AC-130 and someone gets me right after I got the Pred, I use it to shoot down CG/AC-130/Pave Lows. It gives more points than a random kill that doesn't even count towards your killstreak. I'm gonna feel dumb if everyone's been doing this since the start.
