Ah some fucking guy on Afgan last night, noob-tubed in the first second, hit the dam truck outside the bunker, from across the map, and i died. I got to learn the trajectory to do that, i bet you can get some nice triple/quad kills out of it, if you are good.
Let's get one thing completely clear. There is a difference between camping and sniping, don't get it twisted. Snipers are supposed to remain in one spot as much as possible. That's why we have ghillie suits, that's also why I really hate the death cam, my position across the map shouldn't be given away just because I killed you. Now some asshole sitting on the third floor in a corner the whole map waiting to akimbo shotgun you to oblivion, fuck that guy, fuck that guy in the ear. Same with noob tubers, that's why they have the connotation noob tube, because it takes no skill to spam them across the map.
I camp a little bit, because I'm trying to build up my KDR, but I never do it for very long. I get bored, I get frustrated, and I start remembering how most of my really good long killstreaks have come from cautiously moving about rather than camping. As Parker said, campers generally aren't that hard to kill. You know where they are, just put on the right class to get em.
Off the topic of camping and noob tubing since apparently we are just beating a dead horse or and undead horse since we all still have issues with these sorts of people. How about the people that don't shoot down the harrier/chopper and insist on going outside without cold blooded. I swear this pisses me of just as much if not more than the camper/noob tuber. I don't know how many times Ive told my team don't go outside til I shoot the damn thing down. Or don't go outside without cold blooded but the tards just single file into the bullets!
Actually this surprises me as well. If i die i will switch to my class that has the stinger w/coldblood, just to take out the harrier/chopper. I dont get how the same person can die more then once to the air strike without changing classes to something that can take care of it.
How much do you attribute your team to your own success? I usually leave the game if I get killed within 5 seconds of picking my class, I guess that just makes me a coward.
I play more FFA than TDM when no one is online. I'm comfortable fending for myself, though my overall score may suffer.
Teams are always hit or miss. Each map has 3-4 solid strategies and areas to hold fort. You can tell if your team is good or not if they pick one of these strategies. My new favorite one is Vacant where everyone can just set up in that warehouse and run the table. My biggest pet peeve is when people get in front of your shot, it has been happening more and more now and it rages me more than having people run in circles when there is an enemy predator in the air. I don't get why people don't just spread out. My KDR is at .92 right now. Given that it used to be .75 2 months ago, that's huge.
Greetings, everyone. After wasting my time on AC2 (not a bad game IMO, just does not compare to MW2) I'm ready, willing and able to give this thing another go. Anyone?
I don't understand how I can go from getting AC-130, attack chopper kill streaks every match to not even being able to get a harrier with hardline any more. I think its about time to find a new game cause this sucks. Im just really happy I didnt buy the map pack recently, cause Im not sure how much im going to be playing anymore.
I'll be playing a lot over the next few days since I work late and then have nothing going on during the day. I've improved quite a bit on the past couple weeks. I played a bit when the game first came out, then let it collect dust for a while and just came back to it about two weeks ago. My KDR is only about 0.92 right now but if I were to start a new account I suspect it would be between 1.2 and 1.4. I hit my killstreaks in almost every game now, so that's been helping quite a bit. And Chater isn't bullshitting. Tapatalk fucking rocks. If you're reading or posting in a normal browser on a smartphone, you're doing yourself a disservice by not checking this app out.
I played for about an hour yesterday, placed first or second each FFA game, and didn't have more than 10 deaths in any game. I played four matches today and went 4-19, 7-22, 10-23 and 5-20 before I quit in the last match. I was even using the tac knife with commando and was still getting out-knifed by people with ninja on. I got extremely drunk last night so that may be why my reflexes are so slow, but it's still fucking annoying.
I keep running into so-called "boosting lobbies" when playing ffa late at night. I fucking love it. Listening to their cries of "DUDE! Stop being a dick! You can boost with us!" It's almost like boosting for me, as well, I guess. 7 suckers all standing around waiting to be killed.
Fuck me, I need to figure out if I'm changing how I play at some points. Tonight I started a game and went 12-0, but then finished 15-13. That happens pretty consistently and while my KDR is much better than it was 2 weeks ago, I don't know why I go on massive death streaks that are preceded by or followed by decent kill streaks.
Most of the time it is because you get too cocky and start running into the middle of the heavy fire fights. Take your time, flank and surprise enemies instead of barreling into them. To stay on my toes I would prestige thus limiting the perks of having heavily modified fire power as well as eliminating perks. Killstreaks I think though give a lot of false sense of ability. My old set up, predator/harrier/ac130(or CGnr) would let me rack up 16-18 kills real fast. I went from a .75 k/d to a 1.09 with that set up. Then I switched to Harrier/ac130/nuke I was barely able to ever get my harrier, letting me know that half my skillz were just insane killstreaks. My k/d boost flatlined and I would only average maybe 10 kills a game.
I'm sure it's been discussed, but at this point, what do everyone's loadouts look like? My main class an ACR with red dot, an AA12 with red dot, claymores, and my perks are Scavenger, Hardline and Commando. My roommate has a KDR of 1.54 and that's (mostly) what he uses, so I took his word at it and it has helped me. The argument behind Scavenger over Bling or something is that you want to keep ammo for the weapons you use a lot in order to maintain your kill streaks when you get going. The one I have the hardest time deciding on is taking Hardline over Stopping Power. The way we've decided it is that there actually aren't that many gunfights that you get in where Stopping Power will be the deciding factor, particularly when you're on a hot streak, so you may as well get your KS rewards in earlier. The last one I use is Commando, since I'm fairly proficient with melee attacks. My roommate uses Steady Aim, but he's also terrible with the knife so Commando wouldn't really help him. Also, I use to have my kill streaks set as care package, harrier strike and pave low, however, I recently changed my Pave Low to Predator Missile since I rarely get my KS even high enough to hit Pave Low territory. Again, I think an attack helicopter would be slightly harder to shoot down, but I figure if they're going to shoot something down then they're going to shoot it down, so I may as well get the air strike in there too. Thoughts?
Right now my standard load out is FAL w/ silencer & holographic sight, Spas12 w/ grip & FMJ, semtex, bling, stopping power, sitrep. I feel like an idiot not knowing what this is, but can someone explain to me what boosting is? I hear a lot of people talking about it, it sounds rediculously stupid but I don't know if I've ever run into it or not.
