I have two accounts, but only NipSlipChip has Live access right now, so that's the one that I've been using.

This whole video is worth a watch/listen, but there's something really important from 3:54 to 4:13. Hutch mentions lowering your sensitivity due to the lower damage stats that BO guns have. This is something I've been too stubborn to figure out since I picked this game up on Black Friday, but I've slowly come to terms with. In the 3 weeks I've had this game, I've gone from my original setting of 8, progressing down a setting every few days, to 3 as of last night. I'm still not as comfortable as I'd like to be, and I'll try setting it to 2 the next time I sign on. I'm a very twitchy individual by nature, so my accuracy usually suffers, which isn't something you can get away with in this game like you could in MW2. Lowering my sensitivity has helped my aim tremendously. Just a little ProTip for all you gamers who are as stubborn as I am.

Somehow, I overlooked this video that is now over a month old. The nerd in me is ashamed.

Black Ops talk with Hutch, Wings, Woody, and Kyle. It's as entertaining as it sounds. I listened to this while working on my finances.

Unrelated/stupid question: does anyone know if an HD TV is necessary for a Hauppage HD PVR? I've bounced around the idea of starting up a channel, not because I'm good (Jesus, not in the slightest), but because I love the absolute living fuck out this series, and Black Ops in particular, and I thoroughly enjoy the community interaction aspect of Call of Duty that happens on YouTube. Making videos and helping the community seems like a natural progression for me, given how much I enjoy playing this game. As for my choice of PVR, it seems like Hauppage is a good one to go with, because of its popularity with YouTube commentators. If anyone can teach me the technical aspects that go into this stuff, or can at least provide a link to a tutorial video of some kind, I'll give you a cookie.

Again, I don't have my heart set on this entirely. It's just something I've thought about and want to look into.

This may be the best thing on YouTube right now in regard to Black Ops. ONS1AUGH7's "Field Stripping" series, where he breaks down his gameplay with the use of Theater Mode. It's like watching John Madden explain formations and plays with his yellow pen.

Did Rob4Bronco's kill this thread with his multiple video posting or did the fact Black Ops sucks balls kill this thread? Just throwing it out there. I've played maybe an hour since that patch game out.

I put BO down about 3 weeks ago and haven't looked back. Am I the only one who has no desire to play it at all? Maybe I'm crazy. If anyone on XBL is still cool with MW2, hit me up.

Fucking hackers in MW2. Tried playing SnD yesterday and the fucking assholes were running around with godmode and invincibility. Nothing quite like getting cross-map no-scope spammed by a Barrett extended mags, raping your whole team.

And it's still better than BO.

This is why I promptly traded in my copy. As soon as Black Ops came out, I felt that most of the people who'd continue playing would be glitchers or OMADC kings. It's much easier to exploit the flaws in MW2 and ruin it for everyone else.

I would love to hear the rationale behind this. The fact that you play on PS3 and got fucked on the patch aside, what about Black Ops do you specifically not like? If it is because of the patch, I don't blame you for disliking the game, but would you go back to playing if they corrected it?

Let me remind you that Infinity Ward couldn't so much as patch the 1887s properly, so let's not be quick to throw Treyarch under the bus for fucking up an update.

Was that really the case though? Granted, it's been a couple months since I have played MW2 now so my memory may be hazy, but I thought Infinity Ward fixed the 1887s within a reasonable time frame after it was discovered how outrageous the range was on that gun. I am just asking since I honestly cannot remember offhand.

Teamed up with dmix3 and the guys last night after the bar and pretty much decimated the same group repeatedly for close to two hours in TDM. I swear I play better after I've been drinking. Twas beautiful.

Are you guys still on the whole black ops sucks kick? Our can we finally admit that Black ops is better than Modern Cheatfair 2?

On a side now I'm going through withdrawal because I haven't ben able to play for a couple days and won't be able to for another week.

I'm not sure how long it took them to patch it, and it may have been a reasonable amount of time. However, they didn't patch them enough, because it was discovered that using Bling and attaching FMJ to the akimbo 1887s gave them their old range back. That part, at least to my knowledge, has yet to be fixed.

The 1887's were completely fixed a while ago. The Bling issue was patched about a week later if I remember correctly. They were also pretty quick with fixing the Javelin glitch and all the elevators. Not to say there aren't issues that still need fixing.

    Like, I dunno...cumulative killstreaks?

Am I the only one who's glad that didn't happen with Black Ops? That had a LOT to do with making the multiplayer system better. Just like reducing the gun damage to put an emphasis on accuracy does, putting in killstreaks that don't stack separate the "boys from the men." It takes a lot more skill to get a killstreak of 7, 8, 9, etc.

In other words, there's more distance between good players and simply average players. Not can any scrub can call in dogs or, even worse, a nuke to win an objective-based game. Seriously, go back and watch Hutch's "Progression" videos on MW2 and Black Ops. He takes an objective stance and still shows what hurt MW2 in the end.

Let's take out the players from the product. When you had people in MW2 that played the game fair, weren't Noobtubing like tards or glitching it was better than the experience in Black Ops. The gameplay is not as good. The reasons have been listed over and over again. Treyarch put out shit compared to Infinity Ward from hit detection, graphics, visual feedback and audio feedback. The crack cocaine isn't there. Before with MW2, I would see a TiB member on, and no matter what I was thinking about playing before I'd put in MW2 and try to play with them. If I couldn't I'd say "I'd get a match or two in then go back to my game if I can't catch them." Then 2-3 hours later of MW2, I'd stop. Now if I can't get a match with anyone I know, it's just not fun. The game play just isn't there, not to mention the lag benefiting the person with the bad connection, it's ridiculous. Too many deaths where I knew they just simply saw me on their screen first and got me before I could even register that they were there.

I dont know why the 1887 thing was that big of deal to me. I was terrible in the beginning and it was patched before I even got akimbo 1887s, I was getting murdered at every range by everything any how. The one that really chapped my ass was the high speed knifing when you'd hold the care package grenade. I hate knifers to begin with but that shit was infuriating seeing some dipwad holding the smoke grenade and running super fast to knife you. They fixed it a week or so after it was discovered.

I still play both MW2 and BO. I have changed my name a time or two since that list, so now I'm PhetusPhister45. No map packs bought though.

If I'm playing BO, I'm usually splitscreening with my room mates, as I have not actually bought it. Home on Christmas break, so MW2 until the new year though. Curious to see how lowering my sensitivity does in BO though, that's a decent tip. I started at 6, think I'm at 5 now. My problem with lowering it is I hate how slow you turn with the lower settings, at least in MW2. Like I said, curious to see how it feels in BO.

That said, I still like the overall "feel" of MW2 over BO. As mentioned previously, things like graphics, audio, etc. MW2 just seems more polished. I do like the killstreaks, COD money system, and features like that.

    Agree with Parker and Tuesday.

One of the major gripes I have with BO is that is forces you to play a certain way. Sure I could slap on a fucking AK-74u and rape face like everyone else but don't even dare try to shoot a sniper rifle or you get handicapped in the worst fucking way. Even after the 'quickscoping' patch, the hit detection and lag in this game make it impossible to shoot someone consistently. If I'm aiming in a certain direction, I expect to look in at least the same general direction. I don't expect to be looking at the floor.

And frankly it looks like a piece of shit. The sfx sound like the speakers are being muffled with pillows for footsteps and sent through a megaphone for gunshots. I get it, gunshots are loud. But so was the TAR-21 and that never got annoying.

Don't get me wrong, I love theater move, the dolphin dive, the contract system and everything else but the gameplay. But I don't go to a restaurant to look at the fancy furniture. I sure as hell don't play this game to enjoy awesome playbacks.

If there was a way to mix MW2 gameplay with BO contracts and killstreaks and dolphin dives.. I don't even want to think about it. God I love MW2.
