I had a fucking hilarious run in with some boosters last night where a few of us were killing these kids in free for all for repeatedly boosting. Then, halfway through a match, some other kid who sounded like the youngest person I've ever heard over xbox live (he seriously sounded like he could have been 3 or 4) joined the game and immediately told everyone "Hey did you guys know that those two guys are trying to get a nuke? You should kill them." Apparently they were his friends who wouldn't invite him to a party and he was pissed so he fucking sold his friends out to everybody. Awesome. Booster killing is my new favorite game.
Im not the best player ever and so two weeks ago I set out to raise my kill death ratio. Ive raised it from .77 to .87 in two weeks, not great since Ive only had a handful of big 30/4 games. One thing I noticed though was that I can dominate game in game out during mid day but get completely schooled when the 12 year olds get off school. Even though you are paired with people at around the same rank the difference between noon and 9pm is staggering.
Not a glitch at all. Note that the large gas tank can be exploded to kill anyone up there, just in case you can't see them. Just an even balance for the other side that involves running up the crane beam.
So my dumbass just realized last night that I can get on XBox Live in my dorm, contrary to what I thought a month ago when I first tried it. I had to set an alternate MAC address. I r smrt. I play CoD4 aka Modern Welfare, since I can't afford MW2. I'm not very good. Usually I break even on K/D, which is good enough for me, I guess. Although I had my best game last night: after playing for the first time in over a month, I got an air strike on team deathmatch, respawned, took out five guys at once for a second air strike, then a chopper. All in all, 20-3 and 2 points shy from getting my first deathmatch MVP even though I joined the game when it was half over. /dork Gamer tag is Rob4Broncos. I play pretty much any game setting. Not very picky as long as I get to shoot virtual people.
By the way, if you ever want to see some cool MW and MW2 shit, watch this guy. It's ridiculous how good he is, and he's really funny to listen to as well.
From what Ive heard Xbox Live has some sort of patch/update approval process that PS3 and PC dont have. Im TeflonDon84 on PS3 if you havent added me yet.
All the XboxLive patches have to be approved by Microsoft. Infinity Ward had submitted the patch, then pulled it because the PS3 patch messed up matchmaking and MS probably was going to reject it, and because there's another method of getting the infinite care packages that the patch didn't fix.
Anyone have a favorite MW2 moment? I had an absolute blinder last night sniping in Favela. Something like 22 kills for 2 deaths or some similar nonsense, but that's not what got me pumped up. I got my very first two kills one bullet, in the form of a double headshot. It was awesome. This morning I was back to playing like a dog. Anti-Focus: I was playing on estate a week ago with some guys with headsets. One guy was co-ordinating, and doing a good job. He called me to come around the back of the greenhouse so we could storm the house. What he didn't mention was that he'd just called a care package, that fell on me as I came up the stairs. Then I hear over the speakers, "Holy shit, my crate just fell on him!".
Yesterday by chance I was put on the opposite team against Myrdog and another friend of mine, got both of them in the head with one bullet. My favourite moment was when I ran out of ammo on Karachi right when I started playing the game and got the game winning kill with a throwing knife to the face. Too bad I couldn't get the achievement for it since I was too low of a level to have the achievement unlocked.
Today, some little kid was swearing and yelling into the mic, being a little fuckstick. When I shot him with a grenade. In the face. He then spawned right in front of me and I did it again. All inside the space of about ten seconds. It was beautiful. I had to mute the little shit after that.
I had three good consecutive games last night, thermal sniping on Underpass, Favela and Afghan. I ran something like 80-5 over the three levels combined. Normally I automatically mute everyone in the lobby, but considering I was doing well I had them all on. It's nice to hear a "nice game marto" after you've done well. Also back to negative/even games straight after. I've always thought the 2 bullets 1 kill would be the hardest emblem to get, but I've managed it 3 times now. The first time was a total fluke. I was sniping in one of the buildings on Wasteland, when I noticed 2 players about to rush me from the back door. I fired 3-4 shots from the hip, and somehow managed to kill both of them with one shot. Ridiculous. The other two times have been aimed headshots, but with both I had the FMJ attachment. Is there any chance that the bullet actually goes through the first persons head and kills the other?
Quick question, I'm not sure if it's been covered but I'm sick and tired of the no one shot kill with sniper rifles. Is there a definitive combination of sniper rifle/stopping power/ attachment combo that does the most damage? If it makes any difference, I'm on XB.
Try playing some of the hardcore game modes. Almost any hit with a sniper rifle is a one shot kill. I don't even bother to snipe on regular game modes anymore because you have to hit people like three times if you don't have stopping power on. You would think that a .50 cal to the lung would stop someone running dead in their tracks but no.
M21 EBR w/ FMJ and Stopping Power Pro is almost a guaranteed one shot. I'd imagine the same combo with Intervention will work too. For me the hardest achievement to get will be the "Get a Throwing Knife kill while flashed or stunned".
I happened to do it completely blind. Fired the knife out a window in Underpass. Killed the guy that killed me. Complete luck.
Intervention or Barrett with SP and no silencer is a guaranteed one shot above the waist, so long as you don't hit an arm.
