Seriously? I had more laughs in this episode than the whole first half of the season (barring the Chaos Theory ep).
The first handshake after they become "normal" had me unable to hold in my laughter. That'll teach me to catch up on a Community episode at work.
If I have learned anything from reading the Always Sunny/Southpark/Archer/etc threads around here, it's that everyone will post something along the lines of "I love this series, but this weeks episode was totally mediocre".
Joel McHale is on this Grantland Network podcast 20 minutes or so in. http://espn.go.com/espnradio/grantland/ ... id=7743722. Talks about Community.
Chevy Chase abuses Dan Harmon: http://www-deadline-com.vimg.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Memo__120331184343.mp3
To be fair, that's in response to Harmon leading a 'fuck you, Chevy' chant in front of Chevy's family at the wrap party. As well as playing that voicemail in front of a whole group of people, which subsequently led to it being leaked online. The issue I think is that Chevy walked out some of the final scenes which added to everyone's stress, and then showed up to the wrap party which pissed Harmon off. But still, 2 assholes don't make a right. They both acted like spoilt children. Seriously, a 'fuck you' chant in front of a guys family? C'mon. I lost a lot of respect for him from this. Although, Harmon's since apologised on his blog for being an asshat and pissing a lot of his fans off. http://danharmon.tumblr.com/ Article I found quickly summing the whole thing up: http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox ... son-4.html Television dramalama.
I remember thinking to myself that they must be on the downhill. There are only so many genres to lampoon. And then they pulled out Ken Burns Style Documentary. And I saw that it was good.
I feel like they should have paid Ken Burns for the copying of his documentary style, but then I realized, they just kicked Netflix watching of every Ken Burns documentary into high gear. Ken Burns should pay them.
New best episode to show to people who have never seen the show before. My friend was hooked by the sheer absurdity.
I loved it; however then my partner who is also a fan of the show hated it. She is foreign though and had never seen a Ken Burns documentry.
