this. It was recently a godsend for my step-father when he had some autoimmune issues after cancer treatment. A month ago we didn't think he'd make it to Father's Day, now he's back to his normal asshole self. Fucking wrecked his immune system though. So if it was used to treat proactively, rather than for those already in the hospital and in critical condition, it would have to be combined with something that puts the immune system into overdrive in order to combat the side-effects. It's part of the puzzle, but it doesn't complete it. And ultimately, until we get a reliable vaccine, I think these kind of puzzle pieces and partial treatments are what we're gonna see. Nothing that would prevent you from getting it, lessen the long-term effects or certainly lessen the contagiousness of it, but maybe something that might save lives among those who are critically ill and on the edge anyway.
She's not judge like you're thinking. She doesn't have power like a legal judge, but she does have the ability to make decisions and lead during emergencies like floods and hurricanes. She's an elected official like other judges but she can make decisions like this at the county level.

And they're bringing it over to North Idaho in droves. The two months I was up there they had 4 cases total in my home county. In the month I've been back here they're up to 24. When I left easily half the cars on the road had Washington plates, and I'm sure it's more now.
The scary part is the new medical info coming out from people that had it but were asymptomatic. It’s starting to look like even if you just had minor flu symptoms, it’s causing permanent damage.
Oh my sweet Jesus. Think about the implications of this. https://twitter.com/richardhine/status/1276881827702153218 BREAKING: #60Minutes investigation reveals Trump knowingly allowed flawed #COVID19 antibody tests to circulate, leading to inaccurate data about virus spread, creating data to support re-openings, and potentially causing thousands more preventable deaths. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/federa...20-06-25/?ftag=CNM-00-10aab7d&linkId=92064279
what the fucking shit!!! Me thinks if this is true, there’s gonna be a UN investigation or something major. Something outside the political parties.
Without veering too far into the politics of this, it's absolutely sickening that the worst thing that can happen to Trump over this is losing his reelection. No forced removal from office or prison time. Just lifetime Secret Service protection so a vigilante can't do the Lord's work.
you don't knowingly allow the deaths of thousands, potentially tens of thousands, and not face jail time. That's not politics, that's how the world works. If this was the leader of another country who did this, we would all be similarly up in arms. This is absolutely abhorrent, and in my opinion the single worst thing he's done. Nothing else is even close.
Did you read the article he posted? The word "Trump" didn't appear once. But yes let's fly off the handle again, because #FuckTrump.
It is the United States standing policy, instituted well before Trump, that we will invade The Hague if anyone attempts to try an American for war crimes in the International Criminal Court. An American President allowing the deaths of thousands and then facing no consequences is absolutely par for the course.
No, my point is that the idea that "There's no way an American President can do X without facing jail time" is completely false, for basically all values of X.
That couldn’t hurt. People seem to forget his little illegal bombing campaign on Syria, lost in the stack of pages of his fuck-ups. I’m sure a lot of people in your country supported it, but it was still terrorism, and people were burned alive. A spade is a spade.
Yeah, I don’t think that gets put in the stack of fuck-ups. You’re not going to get him dragged off the The Hague for a joint allied bombing effort in Syria over chemical weapons use.
I did a little email investigation. There are two kinds of COVID-19 tests, the antigen tests (testing for the genetic material of the virus itself) and the antibody tests (testing for the presence of antibodies associated with fighting the virus). The antigen tests were approved before the WH task force was stood up and placed in charge of COVID-19 response. The antibody tests, however, were released when the WH task force was running things, and the approval for the release and acceptance of antibody tests was given by the WH task force, lead by VP Pence. So....yeah, Trump might not be able to tell the difference between antibody and antigen, but his task force approved the antibody tests. I will also reiterate that while a WH task force isn't completely atypical, their purpose is to get bigger mountains moved more quickly (ie, fast-tracking DOD resources, or FEMA mission assignments by getting secretaries involved). When they are used for controlling messaging, or by-passing standard approval procedures, this is the result. God. Fucking. Damn. It.
My niece's father was confirmed positive, exposing her, my immune-compromised mom, dad and sister. Where do I go, curse-word-wise, from God fucking damn it?
