Yeah... I took the most optimistic numbers and did the math.

Depending on the numbers you use, that rate goes up...

The CDC has a whole set of data on exactly that... they call it the Vulnerability Index. @downndirty introduced us to that.

    https://svi.cdc.gov/

Not sure that the detailed data for Texas is available to map down to the same street/house level as the SVI, but some conclusions could be drawn, I'm sure.

At least you now know that the 5G reception is good. And what a comfy place AND time of year to require a mask and gloves at all time, while you’re down in Burnt Scrotum County.

You know, if the White House just stopped testing, they wouldn't have to report stuff like this. Duh.

depends on what part of Texas he’s in. Fuck being by the coast. That heat and humidity combination is horrible, and a mask makes it a thousand times worse. Can’t see through your sunglasses because they’re always fogged. Up in the hill country you get a nice steady breeze, the heat still hurts but it’s nothing like the coast. Panhandle is downright pleasant.

There is a fine line to wearing glasses so they don’t fog in humid settings. They should very slightly overlap the mask on your nose to work best. And don’t breathe like Bodacious about to be released for his eight seconds.

The fucking desert. I hate the fucking desert.
Here's a new twist....we've had a huge uptick across our offices of people calling in who haven't been in for between 3-5 years. They've suddenly decided (Like a hive mind) that after all this time they need their teeth cleaned. Right. Now.

I'm wondering if that might be a new symptom? The sudden, demanding need to have your teeth cleaned immediately.

Some places up here are resetting their benefits for the year because of the pandemic, so people are getting twice as much dental in 2020. That’s the only logical reason I can think of.
