My 2 cousins in Toronto and 4 other families just arrived at Whistler on Friday for a week’s vacation. Been planned for a year. They’ve now shut down all of Whistler as of tomorrow. They are less than impressed. https://www.citynews1130.com/2020/0...sort-closed-from-march-15-22-due-to-covid-19/
Do you think the response to this would be better, if more world leaders were on Tucker Max’s mailing list? He sure has learned a lot...
came here to post some of his lessons learned as well. Anyone interested in text straight out of a Circuit City training video? I have a bunch of it in my inbox right now
Went to home depot to exchange propane tanks because my kids like burgers and sometimes you gotta fast food it with the gas. I got their last two. They had plenty of firewood though. People are idiots.
That sucks, man. I just got back from Beaver Creek - just got it in. Vail Resorts closed everything starting tomorrow.
Yeah all these people happy about cheap flights are gonna find out it gets real expensive when they get stranded there
I tell you this is the time for EA and the like to swoop in and pump an online big money tournament for all the games with now cancelled seasons. Too bad no one develops a College Hoops game anymore. Small tourneys to determine who gets to play/represent each school and for the final tournament seeding. Streamed online twitch and such.
I’m post drinking after we hosted a great st Patty’s day party. Great food, I sent drunk friends home in Ubers, it was a great night. Now starts the self quarantine.
Well, my wife panicked at the grocery store. Sent her in for coffee creamer and grape juice for our kid. She saw the shelves mostly empty, missing the tp, soup, canned goods, and she went on a $400 spending spree. I reckon we had at least a month worth of food before, she easily tripled our supply. I didn't go in the store. As the time ticked by, I thought to myself, 'she panicked.' When she rolled the pile of groceries out to the car, I said, "you panicked, didn't you?" To which she said yes. We only got 12 rolls of toilet paper, though. Had to swing by the dollar general to get that.
I’m not buying toilet paper for two reason: 1) I bought a Single Costco pack a month ago, which means it will last two more months and 2) toilet paper is never, ever, EVER going to run out. In one or two weeks you’ll be able to walk right in the store and buy it like normal. I refuse to bounce around store-to-store or buy scalped Lysol wipes off Amazon. There’s nothing wrong with playing it safe, it’s a pandemic. But the level of panic some folks are in is really, really obnoxious. Especially the fat fucks, because they know it could be Curtains if they catch it.
