I've actually seen it a few different places but here is an article https://chartexchange.com/article/?id=462674&yLFcC=d1SL9
Went to doctor, thought I had covid again. Test was negative for covid, flu, rsv. They said they’re pretty sure it’s Norovirus and prescribed me some stuff for it. Asked my GP if it’s been busy and her response was priceless. “No one wants the shot, everyone wants to miraculously feel better when they get sick from it though ” While looking completely burnt out.
Actually I did make an ivermectin joke, just not that one. Said my main issue is stomach, I’ve been shitting non stop since early yesterday (shitting right now actually). Immediately followed by “and no I’m not taking horse meds.” These doctors are real cool and were laughing about i “can’t catch a break, well actually that’s all you can catch!” since I last came in for a jacked up leg, then before that it was covid. remember when we thought 2020 was gonna be the year that sucked?
Honest to God, some local dipshit posted he's gonna go to Tractor Supply, get some Ivermectin, and take it live on Facebook to prove it's safe. I should have offered him the vial I have here, I think it's close to expiring.
My cousin lives in Canada but works in the US. He crosses the border every day, and every few weeks has an extended run in either Tennessee or Georgia. His expertise is robotics, and his company sets up and troubleshoots the factories that produce machine parts for the automotive industry. He says that this week, in rural Michigan, he came across the first batch of workers he's seen that threw a Covid party to deliberately expose themselves to the virus to get it over with, like parents used to do with the chicken pox back in the 70s. So there's that.
Noooo, partner. That sounds like a good way to get sued, giving him something that is likely to harm him.
Parents did that shit in the 90s as well. I went to a few sleepovers where the kids had chicken pox. I never got it, but did get the vaccine when I was 12 or something.
Good post from a nurse: https://www.reddit.com/r/HermanCainAward/comments/pqm303/an_open_letter_to_my_patient/
holy shit that hurt to read, but thanks for sharing it the worst part of all of it for me, when my covid was at it's worst, was that my kiddos had to see me like that. Three and six and they just wanted me to be healthy to play with them again, meanwhile my sp02 levels dropped to 85 and their lowest and my HR was 50-55. Only reason I didn't go to the hospital was because, as was the case after my brain surgery, if I was going to die it was going to be peacefully at home. I'm sure the emotional trauma we all went through with that will be with us for some time, though I hope not. people just don't get it. They really don't,
Some landlords here are doing the same. Some of these buildings are very communal and public... public elevators, etc. I don't blame them for forcing vaccinations. Again, if they want to be free to go without vaccinations without a legit reason, they're free to go find another place to live. I'm 100% OK with that. Welcome to the legit, legal consequences of your actions (or lack of, in the case of not getting vaccinated).
Kinda a misrepresentation of what’s happening. They don’t own those buildings — they rent. The landlord(s) are wanting to keep residents safe, and requiring vaccines is the best way to achieve that goal. It’s not about “deserving a roof over your head.” It’s about abiding by the rules, or finding a place that suits the rules you wanna play within. Now that the vaccines are so widely available, and people have had enough time to get them, what you’re seeing is people getting sick and tired of these anti-vaxxers screwing it up for the rest of us, so the natural consequences of their (in)actions are coming to the forefront. I for one hope we see more of this
I wonder if the criminally insane will try blaming being forced to take the vaccine on any misdeeds they commit. Hell, Dan White got off Stone-cold Murder of two city politicians by blaming junk food. Ask your lawyer, you too…could be kookoo for Cocoa Pops.
I’m sure they’ll try. Just like sovereign citizens try to claim whatever naval law or some crap. The judge will just laugh at them though and they’ll make it more difficult for their public defenders.
y'all, whatever the fuck a norovirus is, that shit is fucking horrible. Down 10 lbs since last wed from it. This is one of those cases where I'm glad I have my masks handy, because even though I'm feeling better now I'm still wearing them around everyone to prevent spreading this hellacious of a bug. Hopefully this becomes the norm. I have zero reason to believe it will.
It's what all the cruise ships had from before COVID was all the rage. We had it hit our company xmas party a few years ago (again, pre-COVID) and it was serious enough that the CDC got involved to do a bunch of contact tracing, etc. It's no joke.
