At a high level, you don't want to list county-level data when the numbers are so small. If there's 3 people in the county, chances are too high you can identify them, and that's a big deal for HIPPA compliance and safety. The recovered data simply isn't good, because we don't really close the loop that well. As far as the column, (shrugs). From inside the loop, per a CDC daily report: 94 public health labs are up and running with CDC assay (new words, yay!) You will get some reporting delays over the weekend, for example Lab Corps does system maintenance on Sunday. You will see National Guard standing up field hospitals in major metro areas, the one in Central Park is an example. All 50 states have it, the only exceptions right now are FSM, Marshall Islands and American Samoa. New York is by far the worst hit, followed by New Jersey, Michigan and California as the only states with more than 5k cases right now. Penn, Washington, Mass, Illinois and Florida will cross that threshold within 48 hours.
What's the average temp down there? Buddy of mine keeps saying that as soon as it warms up, this will all go away like the standard flu. I disagreed saying that I'm pretty it's summertime in Australia and they still have it.
It has started. Armed vigilantes blocked a neighbor's driveway with a tree to force him into quarantine
That's nothing. Look at this development: https://tribune.com.pk/story/2186400/9-man-quarantined-covid-19-runs-naked-bites-woman-death/ The infected biting people to death. You know what that sounds like....
I feel like there's such a huge portion of the population that's been excited for this to happen, that the shock isn't the biting but rather the running.
Without having read everything about the disease I would say this is a problem with trying to get real time data on these things. If the virus exacerbates an underlying condition to the point that it kills you what would the cause of death go down as? Or if it weakens your immune system so that you’re unable to fight off another disease what would the cause of death be? And do we know enough about it yet to really know how it effects people and how it effects people with certain conditions. Some information is erroneous because people are pushing their viewpoints and agendas and other information is erroneous because it’s probably near impossible to get accurate information when what you know about the disease you’re tracking seems to be constantly changing.
That place will never be the same. If I were you I'd just start looking for a job wherever you are and get a shipping company to move your stuff from Vegas over to you. You thought the homeless and drugs were bad before? Just wait. Give it a few more weeks. See what happens if the casinos stay closed into the warmer months.
I just found out today that a customer has gone into quarantine; and I spent a lot of time in his car.
Did you wash your hands after you left his car and before touching your face? John Oliver just did a great piece on the rona. Some much needed humor, though it's very weird watching it without an audience. Dude just pauses after each joke, like [insert laugh here].
I don't know; the car has been in and out of the shop a couple of times in the last few days; it's a Ford Focus with shitty dual clutch transmission, and I had to run several tests on it.
https://www.fema.gov/coronavirus/best-practices Italy supposedly has flattened the curve...hope is around the corner.
I am beyond livid. My best friend is a social worker in New York. She sent me a pic of herself last week wearing the really basic paper face mask to meet with potentially sick people. I had hubby get a hold of a serious Honeywell mask from his work, it's a half mask but it will provide so much more protection, and send it to her. Her supervisor won't let her wear it. Or scrubs, in spite of being in a hospital. She's expected to continue on in business casual. So she's considered vital but expendable? WTF?!
It's good to be king. Thailand's king self-quarantining in Germany with 20 women, servants: reports "Self Quarantining" with 20 concubines seems to be a rather liberal interpretation of the definition.
Jesus Hudson Christ. How ass-backwards is this planet that royalty still matters? Especially THIS goofy-looking nimrod, with all his fake war medals walking around like he’s Jack Nicholson in “A Few Good Men”
