people are such dicks. One of our co-workers also works for one of those food delivery services, since all this started she's just worked food delivery exclusively in order to give more hours to her co-workers (we haven't had to lay off anyone, thankfully). We tip her what amounts to hazard pay, and she does some off the clock shopping for us while also only shopping during non-peak hours and only delivering to customers she knows are using proper safety procedures at home. I've given her a bunch of masks and gloves I have at the house, as have others. We combine in-laws orders with ours and get for my wife's entire immediate family at once. She shops for everyone on my side too. Complete saint of a person and thanks to her my immediate family as well as my wife's has not had to worry about groceries the entire time during all of this.

And she said people have the balls to complain when she can't find them toilet paper, paper towels, and bottled water. She just delivered some beautiful baby back ribs for once this bad weather clears, all we put was "ribs if you can find them, whatever cut." Said now when people bitch about stuff that's out of her control she just stops delivering to them. And they're always the assholes who don't tip.

I’m pretty sure I saw a picture of Dave Chappelle out trolling the Columbus rally.

    Yep.

Generally speaking, if it's on the news, it's not normal, which is why it's on the news. Don't trust those fuckers, at all.

Good for her. Anyone who's so damn clueless that she can't control what items are available deserves to be cutoff. Have people always been this bad or is it just that shitty parenting has become more common?

Having waited tables and bartended in the past, it's always been this bad.

I think it's a combination? People have always been idiots and assholes, and in combination with parents giving them whatever they want as children they become accustomed to it as adults. Combine that with all this shit going on and it's a recipe for complete disaster. Her customers are largely that breed of people with the attitude "I can pay for a service therefore I am better than everyone else therefore I am more deserving." Gives her a little pleasure when they're dicks to her so she refuses service, which she is completely entitled to do since she's doing it as a side job anyway (and also the money is good, but morals are worth more than money). She sees the fuckers at the store the next day completely overwhelmed because now they don't know what to do.

But yeah, generally, give people the opportunity to be a dick and they will. When I met my wife she was a waitress. Said the tables who were the most needy and demanding were always the ones who never tipped.

I think some of it has been caused by the "customer is always right." belief that big corporations have bought into. When you tolerate that type of behavior you get more of it. If they started doing what your co-worker did the bad customers would either learn to behave better or cook/shop etc. themselves.

It’s good that it isn’t a nearly a “march on Washington Mall” situation, the problem is that only one or two of those few morons need to be a carrier. And bing-bang-boom, right on the spot. They will leave and spread it around. I mean, that’s all it takes. They no doubt drove in from all over the state, any gathering like that could be a potential dirty bomb.

Is there three more cringe-worthy words put together nowadays than “I’m Calling Corporate.”? I can’t stand bad customer service (when it actually happens), but most of it’s not nearly so bad you need to just take out your entire week on a stranger at their job. Especially now, where anybody working outside their home is at risk. Try buying a heavy bag and start punching.

And of course, it also gets recorded and put in the Forever Box:

I dunno man I think I’d rather hear “im calling corporate” than “I have COVID” right now

Jacksonville beach pics actually were from the day it re-opened. There were some suggestions, including on this thread, that the media deceptively used pictures of the beach from pre-COVID. However, it sounds like most people did behave themselves.

I've been seeing a lot of reports from doctors on the front lines saying one of the biggest problems with Covid has been body wide inflammation which is causing many of the lung issues as well as, what seems to be a serious issue, blood clots. There is some talks that people crashing so quickly from complications from Covid are actually having the symptoms of blood clots and the symptoms are very similar to lung distress. Has there been any data presented from doctors who have been reporting blood clots as one of the complications arising from critical patients or if the cause of death may be related to blood clotting issues?

Guess this was a premonition? Just put on my backpack leaf blower and a fucking red wasp was hiding on it. Benadryl was inside so I walked rather than ran so as not to increase my heart rate. Chewed 2 benadryl and it appears to be fine now. Resting heart rate is about 70 bpm, which is high for me but still within the normal range, and my pulse ox on both hands is averaging a %spo2 of 97% (2% margin of error). Dodged a serious bullet with that one.

See this is the kinda shit that kills people. Goddamn.

I am in high hopes that he received some efficient yet brutal ass-raping for his short duration in jail. Even if you think God protects you from disease, he won’t from protect you the social media atonement crew. He’s in The Crosshairs now and they aren’t going to leave him alone.

    Oh well,

Seriously if this bible-banging fuckstick wanted to become the supervillain of this pandemic, he’s off to a sweet start. One of his church members recently died of COVID and his response was “That’s a lie, he died of a broken heart.”

He’s already dipping his toes into Westboro Baptist territory with these stupid stunts, let’s see how hard he can shit the bed.
