I saw him in in the middle of a "busy" intersection at Sundance two months ago shooting the shit with the crossing guard. Just walking up and down the street with a bright hunting cap on. Didn't care about who he talked to, very unpretentious, unlike some of his critics apparently.

I mean, I can't figure out why college kids suddenly like Dave Matthews but I REALLY can't figure out why awkward=funny. Why looking at the ground like a mouth-breath mongoloid barely talking loud enough to be heard by a $30,000 microphone is funny. And by the way, memorizing lines isn't hard. I know this for a fact and I have a shit short-term memory. Why just the other day, I forgot who Keiser Soze was for a second. Especially when you're NOT acting in a play, but on film, where they sometimes take literally eight hours for the second unit to set up for you to say five words of dialogue in front of the camera. The hair-lipped Pheonix brother doesn't pre-read scripts before scenes and refuses to reherse. He has 3 Oscar noms under his belt and he manages to be creepy, megalomaniacal and self-destructive to boot. And one more thing: it's hard NOT to sound pretentious when you're debating with a whiney bitch.
