    I woke up with this thought in my head:

    The "One ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them" part of the inscription on the Ring of Power from Lord of the Rings could have a double meaning. By waging war on Middle Earth, Sauron and the Ring give the free peoples a common enemy to unite against.

    I think that is with antibiotics that you are referring to, and i am certainly not going to take one of those for a little cold. And I typically don't take meds anyway unless I have to (i.e. for work). My super duper immune system is designed to fight off bugs. Although it doesn't seem to be doing as good of a job as it usually does these days.
