I don't think Trump really understands what he can and cannot do. I mean he floated the idea of abolishing the electoral college a few days ago. Yes, the electoral college. Yes, the thing that got him elected. Yes, something that would require amending the Constitution.
We're already in a constitutional crisis over the Supreme Court. Do not underestimate the Republicans' willingness to violate the constitution and attack the judiciary.
Genuinely asking for clarification here; are you saying the hypocrisy is coming from @Aetius or the Republican actions?
Sorry. Good point. The republican actions. The shit they cried about with Hillary for so long is basically nothing compared to what trump is actually already doing.
Governor of Washington has said on CNN that Washington State is going to sue the federal government over the Muslim ban. AirBNB has offered free housing to any Muslims who have experienced difficulties as a result of this EO. Microsoft has stepped up and said they will offer legal help for those affected. Netflix CEO has made a public statement: "Trump's actions are hurting Netflix employees around the world, and are so un-American it pains us all. Worse, these actions will make America less safe (through hatred and loss of allies) rather than more safe. A very sad week, and more to come with the lives of over 600,000 Dreamers here in a America under imminent threat. It is time to link arms together to protect American values of freedom and opportunity." It's going to be interesting to see how many other big companies jump on board the "Hate Trump" train.
It's cool. You're not the first girl who's trust I've violated. In fact, you should probably take a number for that honor. If you can't remember what number you are assigned, I can easily write it on your arm for you.
I would be offended if I had not said "what HIV positive clergy member raped a young Mike Pence while Leave It To Beaver was playing in the background to make him so stuck in the fifties" tonight in a conversation about my friend wanting to trick her cousin with PTSD into assassinating Trump tonight, so, I have no moral high ground to stand on currently.
Depending on how many times they did it she may have been third wreichted. Yeah, that was a bit of a stretch. I'll admit, not my finest work.
Malevolence Tempered by Incompetence: Trump’s Horrifying Executive Order on Refugees and Visas by Benjamin Wittes for Lawfare This is a good take on this god awful mess of an Executive Order. The last paragraph is great sums up the entire first week of his presidency. This is just after week one. It's hard to see four years of this administration not monumentally fucking up. Hell, monumental fuckups happen when the people are generally competent and have good intentions. Every day it becomes more apparent that putting this fuckhead in office was a grievous mistake. I still can't get over his list of countries. People on this board were saying Hillary Clinton's actions with regard to Saudi Arabia were treasonous, but which country was conspicuously left off Trump's list? Who does he have a call with today? Also remember when some of y'all were convinced Hillary would be pardoned by Obama because of the GREAT LIBERAL CONSPIRACY? Good times. Good times.
