I feel like when the conservative/libertarian style writers attempt satire or humor, it’s more of a troll/virtue signal than a real attempt at getting a laugh, or in the onion’s case, an “oof”. The Babylon Bee is like , “haha gender benders are weird, amirite?!”
What they remind of is a Conservative version all those horrible clones of The Daily Show (including the now shell of itself) that doesn’t have jokes, doesn't have punchlines, doesn’t have charisma. It’s just “They don’t think like we do, so let’s condescendingly laugh at them for it.” It has “failed comedians/comedy writers” written all over it. If it wasn’t Conservative I would have sworn that Seth Simons founded it.
This, on the other hand, is one of the best campaign ads I've ever seen. I thought surely it was an internet mashup, but nope... it's an official John Fetterman ad.
whomever made that isn't getting paid enough. People cooking chicken in nyquil goes viral but not this glorious piece of political art?!? What kind of world are we living in!
That ad is straight-up virtuoso, but there’s nothing funny about that fucking asshole. He’s a quack and legit menace to society.
Fetterman "gets" PA. The question is whether or not the people in the state that aren't familiar with him will.
Resident of PA here...this senate race is again, another choice between the lesser of two evils. Am I a fan of Fetterman? No, not really. But Dr. Oz doesn't even live in this state and I have yet to come across anything where he's personally stating what his platform is. The whole thing is a joke, but the people that voted for Oz to begin with are the biggest joke. Edited to add: This was an ad Dr. Oz ran which is just bad on all levels: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTR2PVNOGow
Would it kill Fetterman to not wear a hoodie all the time? It makes him look like an idiot. Not a bigger idiot than Dr. Oz, but an idiot anyway.
Can you elaborate on what you don't like about Fetterman? In other news, pro-life Georgia senate candidate Herschel Walker is accused of paying for a girlfriend's abortion years ago. Here is pro-life Dana Loesch's take on it: "I don't care if he paid for some skank's abortion, I just want control of the Senate. " I am not making that up.
Fetterman did recently have a stroke and from soundbites that I have heard, dude sounds like he recently had a stroke. I’m not saying he’s not qualified, and I’m not following the race closely. But the question “hey, how’s your brain working” is a very important one, as we have learned/are learning. As for Loesch, I mean…at least it’s honest?
The most surprising thing about the paid for abortion is that he paid her $700 for a $575 abortion (+misc expenses). She must have been very early. I had no clue abortions were so cheap.
Check your social networks, apparently one of Walker's baby-mamas is a friend-of-a-friend of mine. Those little bastards could be anywhere.
That the Democratic response isn't simply "See? This is how stupid they think you are." is a glaring indictment of our educational system.
The main thing that concerns me about Fetterman, and NatCH touched on it, is that he recently had a stroke. Is his brain running on all cylinders? It's concerning, although, I feel like a lot of politicians' brains don't function on normal levels anyway. I lean more conservative, and the main thing the conservatives in PA keep harping on is that "Fetterman wants to release all the murderers!!!" so I did a bit of googling and found out he supports freeing the wrongly convicted and wants to provide second chances for deserving and nonviolent offenders. Personally, I don't think there's anything wrong with that. The annoying thing about PA is that we have Pittsburgh on one side and Philly on the other, both huge union towns and very blue. The entire middle of the state, Pennsyltucky, is hardcore Trump-land. Those idiots will vote straight red no matter what, which is I'm sure how Oz got in the race in the first place. I don't trust Oz more than I don't trust Fetterman purely for the questions wo which no one wants the answer: why does Oz want a senate seat for PA? Who is backing his campaign and why do they have their sights set on PA?
The biggest difference between Democrats and Republicans is that Democrats don't understand how stupid Republican voters are, but Republicans do.
What is, the Electoral College? Or the fact we insist on keeping it to 2 Senators per state even tho we outgrew those kid shoes over a century ago.
