I try to avoid anything stacey abrams because she has a gap in her teeth I could drive my truck through and that makes me physically angry for some reason. But I thought she was actually the one who was a bit wonky about the election results?
In Georgia there aren't any ballots one can just fill out. It's a pretty secure process with multiple checks.
Ted Cruz was riding in the Astros World Series parade, for reasons that continue to elude me, and someone from the crowd hit him with a full beer can. 'Stros scouts said it looks like a five-tool heckler.
In cancun they throw tequila bottles. Im honestly shocked he went on a parade through houston with anything less than full military protection.
He is riding in a Humvee despite being a civilian leader attending a baseball parade during peacetime. He's ready to drive over a dozen children at a moment's notice should he need to flee to Mexico.
If Trump didn't believe the outcome of the last Presidential Election, why is he considering standing again? Using his logic shouldn't he just declare himself the winner?
because by most all accounts he did believe it, but he also believed that saying it was "stolen" was plausible outcome his supporters would eat up which was more favorable to him. it also looks like him and desantis are headed for a faceoff in the primaries. I cannot wait to see this.
I’ve been getting texts, mailers, phone calls (from both Nebraska and Tennessee numbers). But what do you expect? This is the big one. THE election that decides whether democracy survives.
Isn't that a bit like saying here's the tumor to end cancer? I am getting a fuck ton of spam emails, texts, robocalls, etc. on my work line. I think some of these candidates are disregarding some of the rules around this sort of thing because of the low likelihood to prosecute, the contractors that they can throw under the bus and the sense of "fuck it" when it comes to y'know...rule of law. I get some behind the scenes shit from lobbyist and consultant "friends" (they have no soul, thus can't really be people....thus can't really be friends. Soulless pussy is a delight, however....kind of like froyo). A lot of the GOP folks truly believe they are ushering in the rapture, and setting the stage for the book of Revelations, except of course, a modern variant where the forces of evil tend to be non-white, and the path to the 2nd coming of Christ is apparently paved with fleecing every reigious idiot they can mail a letter to. This is where a lot of the Q-anon stuff originated from, supposedly, and where the small kernels of truth that form some of the conspiracies are drawn from. Some of the closed-door talking points and policy goals makes Sharia law look like your family's special Monopoly rules. One of my favorites is a sort of tacit acknowledgement that the abortion bans will primarily affect poor, black, latino women making them single mothers and their offspring will grow up "without the Lord as shepard" in fatherless homes, essentially giving Satan his mindless hordes (a la the gang violence of the early 90's). To them it used to be about white vs. black, but now it's about the "pure" whites, who follow the lord's (ie, their) direction. These closed-door sessions are beyond lunacy, and I have to assume they truly believe that if they are sneaking around discussing shit this crazy, the Democrats must be doing the same on behalf of anyone not quite Christian enough, the Devil, the queers, the Muslims, or whatever. I was sent a photo of a slide in a meeting room that said "2022: Path to Christ's Return", and some of the folks in that meeting are the kind of evil that truly frightens me. It boggles my mind to think who's using who here: the politicians using the fanatics to organize, finance and execute their campaigns, or the fanatics using the politicians to attempt to usher in the apocalypse.....or the politicians convincing the fanatics that they are ushering in the apocalypse. Anyway, glad this elections on a lunar eclipse! I'm sure everything will be fine, no one really wanted to live past 2026 anyway, right?
I guess I’ll take that as a “yes” on the robo-texts. I just voted at 7. Smooth as buttah here in eastern Massachusetts. My ballot questions were: 1) Increase taxes on income over $1M… voted yes. 2) Regulating dental insurance… voted yes. 3) Expanding alcohol licenses… voted yes. 4) Giving drivers licenses to illegals… voted no.
