I think they did. The Republicans are running the likes of Herschel Walker, Doug Mastriano, and Kari Lake. They seem to love complete nutters.
I mean, the most prominent one that you hear about is the guy that can’t understand the things spoken to him. If that’s the cream-of-the-crop then they are in big trouble in 2024.
The Economic angle is such nonsense. The entire world has high inflation rates due to numerous issues, none of which have to do with Biden's policies. Trump ran up as much debt as Obama in 4 years vs. Obama's 8 years. The budget deficit is actually lower under Biden vs. Trump. The Democrats have done a terrible job explaining that to the public, I'll give you that.
Forget the policies, Biden deserves ridicule just for the morons he put in charge of the Treasury and Fed. “Inflation is transitory…” They’re entire job was to see it coming and they didn’t. They have no one else to blame. Yeah he really knocked it out of the park in that debate with those mental capacities.
It's never been this bad, not even close. Trump's antics and the Republican party participating in it is a whole new ballgame.
And he was a shitty appointment then, what’s your point? Doesn’t change the fact that him and Yellen completely fucked up.
The point is that you can't claim something is a Democratic weakness in a D vs R election, when it's literally the same exact guy the Republicans appointed.
My fault for not comparing it to Trumps last year, but my point still stands. Every Republican ad insists that inflation has been caused by Biden's wild spending and it's complete nonsense. The deficit has declined both years of Biden's administration and the entire world is experiencing high inflation rates.
Presidential nominations are absolutely the responsibility of each administration, regardless of any hold-overs. Biden’s nominees are not Trump’s fault. There’s no mulligan because he hired the same shitty ex-investment banker as his predecessor.
I'll phrase it another way. It doesn't make sense to say "I'm going to fuck Jane Rottencrotch instead of Susie Spoiledsnatch, because Susie Spoiledsnatch has the clap" when Jane Rottencrotch also has the clap.
You’ll have to give me a bit to respond with an equivalent analogy. If Biden was legally bound to accept those nominees, I wouldn’t fault him for it. However, he is responsible for everyone in the Executive Branch. I just don’t know where else to go with it from there. I voted for Biden on the premise he was going to surround himself with competent people. Turns out it wasn’t always the case.
If it doesn't involve using penicillin as a stand in for the prime interest rate, I'm going to be sorely disappointed.
They banked on abortion and a vague notion of democracy (a concept decidedly outside voters day to day lives) as their entire message. It’s been funny to see how they had to pivot the last week as polls started really tightening or outright flipping. The commercials changed from straight abortion to weak cobbled together spots on the economy. You can tell they had absolutely zero back up plan. Grandpa Joe has told his dinner table gas talk a million times but abortion is all they thought they really needed. I’m with juice. The DNC is fucking this one up.
Challenge accepted. Let me get cracking on this before John King whips out his huge maps on CNN and I get distracted.
If they're paying into social security, then they have a social security number. If they are here illegally, how do they have a social security number?
Oh, I absolutely agree the DNC has screwed the pooch in regards to messaging. I disagree that their candidates are weaker than the Replublican's.
