Trump organization found guilty on 17 counts of tax fraud. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/do...rganization-guilty-tax-fraud-scheme-rcna60326
"Your honor, we the jury find Donald Trump guilty of tax fraud." "You do realize you're supposed to say that at the end of the trial, not the start?" "I mean... we're New Yorkers. We kinda already know this. Am I wrong?" "::sigh:: no, you're not wrong. We still have to conduct the trial though."
Does this mean anything for anyone that matters, or is like every single other “scandal”? Also, Avenatti just got 14 years in Club Fed for stealing money from his clients. Ouch.
It means any time a Trump supporter pulls out the old "well if he's so guilty, why hasn't he been prosecuted?" I can respond with "the Trump crime family ran a criminal organization," all official-like.
The best they could find was a guy hiding income on 125k a year? Plus hiding money from the government tax man is as patriotic a duty as a POW resisting his captors.
https://www.newsweek.com/kevin-mcca...accination-covid-19-meeting-joe-biden-1764863 Are you fucking kidding me? The Armed Forces vaccinate for everything under the sun. Talk to recruits, it's like a vaccine assembly line when you show up at boot camp. Keep up the clown show Republicans.
Warnock defeats Walker. Lindsey Graham still asking if he can get paid the babysitter money he was promised.
Apparently Ted Cruz' 14 year old daughter has attempted suicide. I cannot fathom what life is like for a child living inside that kind of nightmare, and I hope she gets help. I also cannot fathom having a more sociopathic taint blister for a parent, so I fear Ted will make it about him somehow and the child will suffer more for it. Re the Trump organization....isn't this the same gaggle of fuckers who stole money from a children's cancer charity? And this verdict was given without Donny T's tax returns, no? I mean, Trump and his ilk are persona non grata in NY anyway. I think this is probably one of several legal proceedings that will make life difficult for Trump over the next few months, and the one he's managed to maintain the most distance from (for now). The NY verdict probably opens the door to further investigations into the Trump family's holdings, and I would really appreciate some looking into the shit that went down as the pandemic set in, when Kushner was directing millions of dollars in federal contracts to companies less than 3 weeks old, but that's just me.
His daughter no doubt gets bullied relentlessly because she’s fathered by one of the biggest pieces of shit alive. Would you let your child anywhere near that scabbed tampon of a man?Public servants who are consummate fuck-ups are never smart enough to consider their kids, and the damage they create while intentionally angering everybody . I doubt someone like Cruz cares at all, regardless.
he will 100% try to spin this to his political advantage, no doubt. Piece of shit human. His daughter has previously stated that while she loves her dad, she doesn’t agree with him.
Around here there are schools that function as a sort of neutral zone. My understanding is that it was the Clintons who broke precedent and made their kids semi-public figures. Said schools can be quite insulated from the political storms of the moment, and some of them have budgets/departments for PR....not marketing, public relations, because the kids who attend may find themselves thrust in the limelight uncomfortably. Some of my friends went to school with kids of SC justices, Congress critters, etc. and nearly all of them found the recognition miserable. Few kids exert any influence in how their parents engage the public, and most of them pursued quiet, private lives pining for a bit more normalcy. Unless the Cruz girl's suicide note specifically states "this curse ends with me", I say extend the family a semblance of privacy, benefit of the doubt and suspension of public ire....until they use it for political grandstanding. IMHO a truce is honorable in so much as the only peep out of this asshole's herpes-riddled mouth is "I need to be with my family and help process this difficult time." That being said...if it had to happen to someone... Also, if she'd use a RPG over Christmas dinner, they'd build shrines in her honor.
worth noting that she also came out as bisexual. I'm sure the pressures and anxieties that come along with that also played a part. Especially being in Texas.
Hell, at the rate they are going in Texas, ol Ted could be liable for child abuse, what with having a kid like that. Must have been groomed by one of them book-learned liberals. Like....I'm largely ok with kids on the internet researching how to safely navigate their sexuality. I am 100% not ok with a child with famous parents having their sexuality become common knowledge. I think, in part, because this kid is forever associated with her father, and everything about her ESPECIALLY her sexuality will be viewed in contrast to that. Also...she's 14. I can't imagine being a 14 year old girl and it not being sexually bewildering. Maybe by the time she's 17, she figures out she's something else. Then what? Also, I can imagine folks doxxing her or analyzing her social media to the point of levying allegations of criminal sexual conduct against other children she happens to be close to. I had friends in high school who had statutory rape charges brought against them because no way was Daddy's little angel a run of the mill slut, that boy must have coerced and raped her (every chance they got for 6 straight months), and Daddy smelled a settlement from his dad's business. Bet it wouldn't take much to learn who's she's playing kissy face with, and now she's trapped in a very adult game as a pawn. Letting her be a child without some sort of sexual identity that should really only be applied to a set group of adults is the best for all of us, and her sexuality, straight or otherwise, is something I really wish was private.
she posted about it on her instagram or ticktock or whatever a year or two ago. It didn't just become public knowledge, she decided to put it out there. It was shortly after the snowstorm iirc, she basically said "I love him because he's my dad, but also I don't agree with him and don't vote for him." Then a while later she also said she was bi. So it wasn't like someone leaked something or it was an invasion of privacy or whatever. Now, there's certainly a discussion to be had about whether or not kids should have access to that stuff to put it out there. Just from what I've seen with my nieces and nephews, I wish that you had to be 18 to sign up for social media, but that's just my personal opinion. Imo it does a lot more harm than good at those younger ages especially
She fiat-out said she doesn’t like being in the spotlight. She ALWAYS looked miserable while he was showing his kids off like a bowling trophy. She disagrees with almost every view she has. If he has any integrity whatsoever as a parent he would blame himself for this, quit his job and immediately and focus on what’s actually important instead of crying like a bitch about Twitter censorship.
Oh, I sorely doubt Ted Cruz has a lot of second career prospects. He'd better ride this shit out, because I can't envision him doing well elsewhere.
but he's human scum, so he's gonna use this as a "knives can kill as easily as guns so don't make them illegal" or some shit. There are very few people I legitimately hate, or even feel I know well enough to legitimately hate. But I believe everyone, including his colleagues, can agree that the world would be better without ted cruz
That’s why I said “if” he has any integrity. He probably got his wealth from stealing pennies off dead women’s eyes.
