Recount confirms Boebert holds onto her House seat "Frisch netted a total of four votes in the recount, far from enough to close a 500-plus vote gap with Boebert."
There's no limit to the political stunts DeSantis will pull. Just absurd nonsense. https://www.politico.com/news/2022/12/13/desantis-grand-jury-covid-19-vaccines-00073718
Meh I see this as a loser in the sense that people have moved on, even the rabid base, and relitigating such a sore subject will not gain him the attention he wants. Same thing happened this last midterm with Trump and Co doubling down on 2020 election fraud nonsense. People are tired of hearing about it and itching to move on. Other things, read the economy, need to be his goal.
I heard about a poll where 36% of Rep's want Trump (Jesus Christ, am I really typing this) to be the nominee and 30% want DeSantis. I still feel like DeSantis is doing dumb shit like this to try and get some more Trumpers on his side and then he'll back off this ridiculous rhetoric. Or, he's Trump 2.0 and this shit never ends.
I dont think political stunts are going away anytime soon. Desantis just isnt an unhinged narcissist who post on twitter attacking his disloyal enemies at 3am. My liberal friend told me a few weeks ago he'd prefer another Trump win over a Desantis as Desantis is lucid enough to actually get shit done. In his mind Trump is too chaotic to be effective politically to actually hurt the country.
lulz IMO, Trump is going to run, not get the nomination, blame RINO's, run as an independent and torpedo the Rep nominee and then say "I told you that I should've been the nominee" Hopefully all the fast food catches up to him first.
There's been rumblings about SC Senator Tim Scott, who I'd count as more of a VP possibility than president. I don't think DeSantis can dislodge Trump, certainly not at the state level. He plays the same identity politics, anti-COVID, anti-woke game, and turns it into actual policy with disastrous results. He plays Trump's game, which begs the question: why not just opt for Trump? Trump's "results" have a narrative attached to them, and he controls it, DeSantis does not. DeSantis is the dog with a mouthful of car bumper, and many of his policies are ticking time bombs. So, the folks who don't give a shit about policy/results will opt for Trump, and the folks that do (or refuse to go for Trump) have to look at DeSantis' accomplishments and go...."Jesus fucking Christ." I'm speaking specifically about the COVID-19, anti-LGBT, anti-teacher shit happening in Florida, not to mention the impending implosion of Florida real estate and flood insurance that DeSantis has only exacerbated. Also, Trump won't just watch DeSantis build a head of steam all the way to 2024, soon enough he will turn his (waning) powers against his rival. I'd imagine the first order of business would be to paint DeSantis with all the toxicity of being supported by the Republican establishment and painting himself as the underdog that the establishment is trying to prevent, over the wishes of the electorate. DeSantis feels like a toxic version of Jeb Bush that indicates the GOP has no idea how to get back to actual leadership.
Please make it so. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...-gop-2024-presidential-race-poll/10882346002/
Trump teased a "MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT" that turned out to be "digital trading cards" (aka NFTs) of his head photoshopped onto a red superman body. I do appreciate how it's impossible to insult Trump, because you'll never be creative enough to have a low enough opinion of him to meet the reality.
It’s now coming out that he used google image results for the nft. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAA! What a maroon.
