people will vote for setting their own house on fire if it has an "R" next to its name. Anything to "own the libs."
Tonight's SOTU was exceedingly spicy by the standards of the House of Representatives, but pretty tame by the standards of the House of Commons.
Not really, but this hearing is all about Republicans relitigating 2020, so we're in a bit of a timewarp.
https://twitter.com/RepStefanik/status/1623773115284090880 This is the #3 Republican in the House. Biden got 51.4% of the votes, so as written, she's implying that if Twitter hadn't blocked a NY Post story for a few hours, it would have resulted in Biden getting negative votes. If she means that 53% of Biden voters would have switched, that still would mean that she's trying to convince you that Twitter's actions were the difference between Trump losing by 7 million votes, and Trump winning in a larger landslide than FDR in '36, LBJ in '64, Nixon in '72, or Reagan in '84. 10-15 points larger. It's incredible how stupid they think their voters are.
She unfortunately is the rep for my district in NY. She's a dumb cunt. We used to have the guy who is the new lieutenant governor and will probably be a senator or more one day, but after NYS redid all of the districts, we are only going to get shitty repubs from now on, Stefanik, the worst of them. I can't even begin to explain how much I loathe the woman...
This doesn't have a chance in hell of passing, but it shows how insane the Republican party has become. https://www.ktvb.com/article/news/l...ture/277-2436a514-e7da-4b31-9762-f9be10300075
Idaho seems like a weird-ass state. Sure it’s got beautiful sights and a lot of affluent people are moving there, but it’s also got the Mormoniest of Mormoney Mormons. And you know what they say….Mormoney Morproblems.
They are, objectively, the Absolute Worst. Being associated with Nazis is better for your personal Image then those fucking people.
The emails coming out in the Dominion lawsuit against Fox are wild. They flat out knew it was bullshit and broadcast it anyway because they wanted the ratings. Why can't we pass laws against this kind of shit?
Kind of. I'll be surprised if they get a dime out of the lawsuit. Defamation is hard to prove in the US. We should have laws that allow prosecution by the state for knowingly promoting false information.
Defamation is hard to win, but Dominion have a really good case. The damages are almost self-evident, the lie has been documented by news organizations and documentarians of all stripes, and the internal emails and memos they've gotten from FOX are doing all kinds of mens rea work. As far as defamation cases go, you can't ask for a better foundation than Dominion have right now.
Can we also agree that computer voting is a bad idea? It has been proven in court years ago (NOT FOR ANYTHING REGARDING THE 2020 ELECTION) that computer based voting can be altered.
