Wait, did Trump say we wouldn't have to worry about it in 4 years if he was elected? Is he saying the quiet part out loud?
I watched it because, although my comment was a joke, I did want to hear the context, and yeah, it was just kinda said, like a simple statement. I can’t wait to hear the spin on Monday.
If Kamala actually ends up beating him I will never have been so happy to be wrong in my life. The man is a complete stain on everything America stands for.
Word around the grapevine is that they're eyeing Mark Kelly as VP and someone on Reddit came up with these magnificent gems.
My take is that he was speaking to Christians specifically, assuring them that after this victory their One Issue (abortion, The Gays, whatever) would be sorted out and codified and they'd never have to bother with these secular matters again. Which is still bad, I don't want to look back on 2024 like we do 1970's Iran.
Then fucking SAY THAT, Trump. Because what he said was that if you vote this year and he wins, you won’t have to vote again. With no explanation. So yeah, that’s a hard no from me. That is literally what all of the conservatives I have grown up around have been telling me since the Clinton administration that they are trying to prevent.
But he did say that. Watch the full clip and his intended audience and message seems pretty clear to me. You just gotta connect the dots.
I've been saying from the beginning that Mark Kelly would be my personal choice for VP. Aside from the optics of him vs vance, that you get Giffords as well, the astronaut thing, swing state, all that.... he just strikes me as a genuine dude. Just a well-liked, hard working, no bullshit kind of guy. I've never heard his name causing any type of scene for unnecessary crap, and only know about him in positive terms. Similar to how McCain was viewed, I guess.
What was that stuff about Musk being a pathetic attention seeking chode again? Elon Musk Shares Manipulated Harris Video, in Seeming Violation of Twitter's Policies
Remember when I told all of you people that Elon Musk was a douche bag, and everyone jumped down my throat about it? Because I remember that.
Um, I say this as someone who genuinely liked McCain, but McCain was far from only viewed positively.
"He's not a war hero, he's a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren't captured, okay?" some random criminal
Can you elaborate on this? I wanted to see McCain be elected president in 1996, when the Repubs picked BOB DOLE, a doddering old man,* as their candidate. They passed him up again for nepo-baby George W. Bush in 2000. Then they saddled him with that dumb cunt Sarah Palin in '08. I just couldn't bring myself to vote for him in that election. I feel bad about it. But I want to hear what you have to say about him. *Remember when BOB DOLE was too old, to be president, at 72 years old? And then he went on to advertise for Viagra? Because I remember that.
