I think he's just an idiot pandering to fellow idiots. This guy will tell a crowd anything they want to hear so long as they cheer for him. Because in the end it's not about them, it's not about the country, it's about Trump.
Sure I'll be honest, the only reason I'm voting for her and not writing in some random person is because of Russia. I'm not willing to be gaslit into thinking she's amazing when she was considered a joke before Biden dropped out. She's a horrible choice, but here we are.
They say Democrats fall in love, and Republicans fall in line. But in my opinion, most of the time Democrats fall in love and in line.
What’s going on right now is an inverse of eight years ago— this is Trump’s to lose, all he has to do is shut up and sit still— and every day he finds a new way to throw his racket into the net. ….Just like Hillary did. And just like eight years ago, four years ago, either result is a shit sandwich on its own terms.
To be fair Trump hijacked the Republican Party, the establishment of which just let it happen instead of putting up any kind of meaningful resistance.
At least it was one person, the democrats were hijacked by an endless collage of loons- toothpaste you can’t put back in the tube. It wasn’t long ago when fundamental Christians (and the like were) logically considered the generic nutcase of society— which now has been replaced by your average rank-and-file liberal.
They're "La Résistance!" except for the part of having academia, news media and the White House, which then pressures tech companies to censor shit. Would be so much nicer if they would just shut the fuck up about their cultural war bullshit and provide a sensible platform for 2024. The fact that they're scared of their own candidate talking betrays all the manufactured JOY!! surrounding her. The GOP already doesn't have a platform. Their plan is to have Trump fart into a microphone and home enough voters aren't repulsed by it. So if the Democrats are the "adults" in the room, then they should be able to tell us a reasonable economic plan, which doesn't contain anything as retarded as price caps. I really believe if they continue on the current path they stand a real chance of losing to Trump. Then again we've already had about 10 October Surprises and it's only August. So who the fuck knows?
The one good thing that might come out of a Trump victory, it gives democrats the chance to break this cycle of putting up bullshit candidates because some people think it's their turn, because of race, gender or whatever. If we still have elections at the end of that second term, that is. Even Biden was a bullshit candidate, riding Obama's coat tails. He won because he wasn't Trump, and that's fine. It's what we needed. For most people in 2020, that was enough. We're finding out being not trump may not be enough this year. Put some real fucking talent on the ticket. One of these governors that have actually lead some shit in the last few years. If the platform is so great, go win elections on it, without the feel good first this first that shit.
I don’t really understand this at all. Why is it always on the democrats to have to find Jesus-like candidates who are nearly perfect in every way but the gop can just keep electing dickheads and fuckups? The narrative is essentially, unless the Dems find another Obama or something, people just default to republicans. Is that even true or just how you see national politics? The GOP openly runs on doing absolutely nothing except trying to make vulnerable peoples’ lives worse under the guise of freedom. But the Dems are the ones who need to find even better candidates? Have a more polished platform? Aren’t allowed to campaign on positivity instead of carnage?
Because they get more votes. I’m not agreeing one way or the other but thems the rules and the winner is the winner.
Aside from whether or not you believe it, claiming Trump winning is the end of democracy is campaigning on positivity?
As a republican that hasn't voted for a republican since Romney... I have bones to pick with those motherfuckers, too. But, we're talking about Harris.
Trump NFTs are back. Except now they're physical. "What if we made physical versions of digital versions of physical Upper Deck trading cards?"
I have never heard Trump talk about about any platform... economics, whatever, other than "biggest deportation ever", "best economy ever", "we'll do great things", "I'm not weird!" Why is it up to the Dem's to be the adults in the room?
