She's doing the drunk mom thing way too early. She needs to hammer him on Covid response rather than the state of the economy in January 2020. If she stays diplomatic to his bloviating, she'll win. If she unravels, she's in big trouble.
Can I skip the drunk part and go straight to alcohol poisoning? I'm too tired for a trip into Q Land.
I feel like trump made some vaguely coherent sentences at the beginning but things went off the rails pretty quickly. I thought Harris’ response to the abortion questions were particularly strong but that might be because I’m a person with a uterus and a lot of opinions about healthcare.
There's some polling out there that this demographic could be as much as 50% of the voting population. Would be crazy if true.
From the thread I'm reading, she's basically shit tossing him and whooping his ass something fierce while he bloviates garbage bullshit.
"Tim Walz and I are both gun owners, we aren't taking anyone's guns away." Where I live, that's gonna resonate A LOT
Interestingly I'm sure they own guns for completely different reasons. Walz is a hunter, and Harris is like "I may need to put one between the eyes of some violent asshole I prosecuted coming after me."
I don’t know what fantasy part of Texas you live in where they one, won’t see through that lie, two, that people dumb enough to believe it will vote in numbers to change a thing in Texas. lol
The whole “they said this before but now they’re saying the other thing” argument doesn’t even interest me. Of course she said that before, it was a party primary of about fifteen people. She can just say “I became VP and now more shit has come to light, and I’m not gonna do that.”
Not to mention, what are people expecting? Let's assume that bullshit nonsense about "They gunna take our guns" wasn't bullshit fearmongering, how do think they'll do it? Do you REALLY think they'll, mobilize some black ops guys to kick your door down and take them or force you to line while they take from you by force like one of those dystopian movies?
Does Travis Kelce count as a catboy now? I just feel bad for anyone who watched it. Harris did what she had to do, I suppose, but it's kind of like cheering for someone taking out the trash from some sort of nightmare diaper bin. Yeah, I'm glad it's done, but sad it needed to be done in the first place. Weirdly, I think Trump did better than expected. As far as I can tell, he didn't admit to committing crimes in front of a prosecutor VP. He knows he's not getting in front of a national audience like this again, so he kept the bizarre rambles to a minimum (Haitians eating pets? FFS, seems tame) and Harris kept things above the belt, in what passes for a show of class. Swift endorsing Harris probably did more to swing this election than the debate. Christ, I just want Trump and his movement to be over.
Kinda feel the same way. She didn't have the Obama Moment many were hoping for, but she did as good as she needed to not cede any momentum. It was... fine.
