They're going to show those pictures of Biden giving hugs where it looks like he's sniffing hair and be like "see!!! Samesies!!!"
Lol, cool. "You didn't endorse Biden, nor did you make a whole bunch of statements about protecting kids from drag queens, trans shit in schools or whatever." This video, inevitable as it may be, is more damning than "both sides!" bullshit can recover from. I imagine it's getting shopped to see what the highest bidder is to exclusively have it, and to see what it's worth to the campaign to leak after the election. Will it change a voter's mind about Trump? Probably not. Will it be used against MAGA Republicans who bent the knee after the election, saying "you supported a pedophile who sexually assaulted one of his donor's children?" I don't see why not. I'd love to see the MTG interview with that playing: "pretend this is your daughter. You're comfortable with her, alone in a room with Trump? You're not worried about what he'd do to her?" If not MTG...then Hoebert. If not her, then Tulsi Gabbard (who Trump weirdly did some moose-kiss shit to anyway). Or Speaker Johnson....Or Vance....Or Haley...Sooner or later, someone cracks and says "JESUS CHRIST I WOULDN'T LEAVE HIM ALONE WITH A WET TOWEL", and there is no going back. Because there's not too many steps from publicly sexually assaulting a child (fuck you, she's not "underage" like she's 19 and trying to buy beer, she's a fucking CHILD), and a leading member of the GOP admitting it's a problem, and someone figuring now's a good time to leak some of Trump's history with Diddy or Epstein, or literally some of the other dozens of sexual assault accusations over the years.... The Carroll lawsuit will be the template, and the GOP saying "ew, yeah, he's a creep" means there's no political air coverage, no bent judge to toss the case out, and increasingly, no reason for Magats to harass the accusers online...lawsuits a plenty coming right up. The Trump empire crumbles with another loss, and this might be the thing that shatters the facade. Because a voter might not care if he's a pedophile (the Catholics certainly seem to get away with it), but it's damned easy pickings for a politician, and if you're a victim, now's the only chance you'll have to seek justice, before he's picked apart. And if he's seen as a pedophile and a rapist (guess what another word for sexual assault is kids!, penetration or not!), over and over and over again, eventually he can't hold that reality back.
You seem really mad at me, and I am sorry about that. That was certainly not my intention. I know it's hard to read sarcasm and malice in text, but I didn't intend either in my response. I am not dodging them - it's not that I don't want to answer the question. I'm not answering for several reasons, though: - First and foremost, I don't want to argue with you or anyone else on the board. If I answer something that is my opinion, I certainly can't (and don't want to) change your opinion. If I answer with "facts," they are facts you can refute with different sources, and it's silly, because it's just back and forth. I don't want to see your actual tax return, and I'm not going to share my actual tax return. - I freely admit that I don't know all the answers, and I don't know everyone's situation - number of kids, different deductions you qualify for, do you get a paycheck with a company, or do you work for yourself where you pay estimated quarterly taxes and file later, if so, are you filing with an extension and paying penalties and interest - so, what's good for you or someone else, might vary, even if the annual income were the same. But, I will try, I guess. Again, I'm not trying to argue or convince you or anyone else. I'm only answering, because you asked. It's going fine. I work for myself, healthcare expenses suck ass, and my filed returns vary wildly from year to year. But, Trump hasn't been President in 4 years, so I'm not 100% positive which tax plan you mean. This one? https://www.investopedia.com/taxes/trumps-tax-reform-plan-explained/ Okay. I don't make $400k a year, so I can't speak on that personally. And, I'm not one of those "akshully" people. $400k annual of wealthy people, like family wealth, who have all kinds of foundations or generation wealth as their income source, is taxed in a different way that someone who has a $400k salary. Neither of which I have authority to speak on personally. I agree with that. I agree they aren't starving. (But, honestly, in the US, if you're starving, there are lots of remedies available for that.) I disagree with your premise, though, I think. I'm not sure what you mean when you say "taxed more." Do you just want them to pay more dollars, so it seems more fair? Or, do you want their rate to go up? I don't think they need to be taxed more. I think that in the US, these are the people who drive the economy, by hiring more people, giving them raises, and starting new business, so that everyone benefits. And, when they succeed - all these people, the business owners and their employees - the total tax revenue goes up without actually raising rates. And, I don't support raising those rates, when wasteful spending can't be controlled. But, that is simply my opinion. I don't know what you mean, here. But, that is already happening. There are people who don't pay any taxes, or pay lower dollar amounts, because the revenue generated from the ones who do pay for those benefit programs through their taxes. I do not.
They're just rumors, so it's mostly twitter posts and a few mentions in the comments of a podcast David Sacks co-hosts. Nothing definitive or even quasi-reliable yet.
I’m sure this will pan out for you like the last Trump pedophile rapist claim did. With the way the left likes to constantly redefine language I’m more curious if, it’s true at all, was it a hand on the midriff and he raped her Ala Al Franken went around raping women or if it was a true finger down her exposed ass crack rapening?
Deep Ass Grab would be a good fantasy football team name. It's hard to sort through all those rumors and find facts, or not find credible accounts of wrongdoing. You can read it about Trump, Walz, Emhoff. You can read it about Diddy's party goers, and Epstein list, and who is hiding things to keep lists from coming out. It's ridiculous. They're all creepy and power hungry.
My ballot questions for this cycle: Question 1: Allow state auditors to audit the legislature... Yes Question 2: Eliminate state standardized testing... No Question 3: Let Uber and Lyft drivers unionize... Yes Question 4: Legalization of some psychedelic drugs... Yes Question 5: Minimum wage for tipped workers... I think Yes? I can't tell if they want it or not.
The only major ballot issue outside of electing of officials in Ohio this cycle is an amendment to the State Constitution that would take the drawing of congressional districts away from the legislature itself, and appoint a 15 person citizen's committee. Ohio is one of the worst gerrymandered states in the country, so of course Republicans are against it as it would take away multiple seats from them (and hopefully get me back out of being represented by Gym Jordan), so that's an easy 'Yes' vote on my behalf.
My mind always goes to the Seinfeld where his dad gets impeached from the condo presidency. “If you’re FOR the motion you’re AGAINST Morty!” “Why didn’t you just say that?” It’s sad that it’s a real tactic to word it so confusingly that voters will mess up and vote the wrong way by design. Even sadder when I have to read it multiple times or google it. I’ll skip the ballot measures if it’s something I haven’t researched. I’ll typically always vote for more funding for parks and libraries.
This was entirely a citizen led ballot initiative. You think the people in power were going to volunteer to let people vote on whether or not they should be allowed to continue to gerrymander? The state supreme court already ruled their proposed maps as unconstitutional SEVEN times before having it come to this finally.
