I’ve never seen his stand up. Kill Tony is fun and I’ll listen if I’ve ran out of my top half dozen preferred comedy podcasts. It’s not nearly as entertaining as the size of audience and success it’s had would suggest. I guess he’s found a niche in roasting where shitlord comedy can work. He seems dialed back on Kill Tony as ultimately he’s trying to help the comedians instead of just dunk on newbies and mentally ill open mic’ers.
the october surprise is a lack of surprises. It's all just one "well look at these pigs playing in shit"
Just because I’m curious and would like to learn something new, wasn’t MSG built in the early 60’s after they demolished Penn Station? Was there a different MSG before then?
Appears to have been several previous iterations of MSG https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madison_Square_Garden_(disambiguation)
The original architect was Stanford White and he was murdered on its rooftop theatre (in front of hundreds of people) by a spoiled-rich junkie who got away with it. And now there are FIVE MSG’s because the Sphere in Vegas is one of them.
Ultimately irrelevant to the broader issues, but I've never seen someone get kicked off CNN before: https://x.com/Acyn/status/1851085909435039789 When they came back from break he was no longer on the panel, and Abby Phillip issued an apology for what he said.
The MSG shit show was meant to distract from whatever other unsavory shit was going on. Fallout from the JRE podcast, especially among conspiracy circles, where the belief that Trump staged the assassination attempt that resulted in one man's death (so, no, not staged...ffs), and the revelation that Elon Musk has been in regular communication with fucking Putin.... Trump never thought he was going to accomplish anything in NY other than start a media shit show to distract from Musk, the billionaire's influence on election endorsements, etc. It was turning a shit show into a spectacle for a reason. Now we're seeing ballots being destroyed, and the less that's reported on, the more likely it will continue.... It's the same situation as the lies about violence against FEMA staff....if you see a tweet saying some "Marine corps sniper confirms five FEMA kills" and it's not headline news nationwide...and you believe it's more likely the feds would quash the story, then it's suddenly ok for you to punch one. Or at a minimum, get on Facebook and agree they should be killed. The ballot stuff isn't getting the attention it deserves, and that might not be by design, but it damned sure doesn't hurt. Trump simply doesn't pay a cost for this stuff. There is no such thing as bad press for him. If he loses (and let's be clear, I think he will), the loss won't be attributed by either side to shit like this. The media will fawn over Kamala (attributing her win to her characteristics, as opposed to Trump losing because of his), and the analysis of why Trump went down will be the same as 2020, by and large. So, this was his last big stage to rile up the liberal media, send them all aflutter to outrage about how racist/sexist/shitty he is, fully aware that it's not going to change a fucking thing. I think the line is the n-word, or perhaps video of him groping a child, or in some setting admitting to fucking one, but other than that....there is no downside to whatever he says. The more outrageous, the more outrage, and the more entrenched everyone becomes. At this stage, the most effective weapon is silence. Because, if he says some stupid shit about Puerto Ricans, and no one responds, then he has to double down and say even more outlandish shit, and eventually he mistakes where the lines are in places like PA, NC, GA, AZ, etc. He's not worried about the line in NY, nor should he.
and all the down ballot races (which he doesn't give two shits about) in places like Texas in Florida, where there's -- surprise!! -- Puerto Ricans. Also known as "Americans."
He can't help it. Saying stupid shit. None of them can, both major parties. They're living in a different world, and don't even understand what they're saying, sometimes. Especially the way Trump just "chats" and interrupts his own comments as thoughts pop in his head. Look at Debbie Dingell. She's the US Rep from Michigan, 6th district. Her husband served in that role from 1955 to 2015. You read correctly. He holds the record for the longest serving member of Congress. Then, she ran for his seat and won. Do you think she's in touch with reality, as long as she's been insulated from it? On CNN, she told Jake Tapper she's worried that if Trump wins, he'll put her in an internment camp. For what? He's got plans to set up White Catholic Democrat Women internment camps now? The long-term Republicans say stupid shit, too. Fuck we need term limits.
I don't think she'll be first in the camps in January or anything, but given that Trump has explicitly declared fellow Congressional Democrats to be "the enemy within" and floated the idea of using the military against them, I can see why she, herself a Congressional Democrat, might be nervous. It's not like she's a nobody who would fly under the radar.
I understand the “both sides say stupid shit” argument, but honestly, when Trump is saying shit that’s essentially “this media outlet should be investigated and banned because my opponent was on it,” and the other side is saying essentially “we wanna use your tax dollars for things you’d rather we not use them for,” then…I’d rather just be pissed about money. Listen to Sean Hannity for any short amount of time, when he talks to somebody who leans left. “YES OR NO DO YOU THINK WE SHOULD USE TAX DOLLARS TO FUND ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT CONVICTED FELON SEX CHANGE OPERATIONS RAAAAAHHHHHH” “Oh that goofy Trump and his jokes about arresting and charging democrats teehee”
So, just to clarify: You think she thinks she might actually end up in an internment camp? And you also think that's a possibility? Like, in real life, not just political theatre nonsense? Man, I am living in a different reality.
Well no, the camps are for Hispanics that may or may not be illegal immigrants. Duh. I do think there's a real possibility that Trump orders the DOJ to conduct bogus prosecutions of people he considers enemies, of which she might qualify depending on how prominent a critic of Trump she has been/continues to be.
