My final prediction (read: dumb guess) is that Trump wins EC with 280-290 electoral votes. He was 6 points behind Clinton around this time in 2016 and won. He was 8 points behind Biden in 2020 and lost by like 45k votes. He's basically equal with Harris. Plus, GOP voter registration has increase dramatically in many of the swing states. Harris can still win, but the Democrat voters need to show up en masse. It's really going to come down to which party has more people staying home. Hopefully there's some self-reflection over the weekend and people figure out whether they want their sons fighting in Eastern Europe in a year or two.

I don't see it. Trump has a hard ceiling this time around due to shit he pulled when he lost the last election. Kamala seems to be gaining momentum and has a much better ground game. Polls say the Democrats enthusiastic and Republicans aren't. Women are outpacing men in voting and they are pissed about Roe vs Wade being overturned.
On the one hand, yes, it seems pretty clear that his intent was to critique a chickenhawk mentality in Washington, and that obvious meaning is being twisted. On the other hand, he has spent the last few days dressed up as a garbageman in order to twist the obvious meaning of a recent Biden statement. So fuck 'im.
Also like... he has called for Cheney to be killed in the past (specifically he "retruthed" a post accusing her of treason and demanding televised military tribunals, which is a pretty clear call for her to be executed by the military absent a civilian trial), so there's definitely a little bit of his kink embedded in this recent statement, even if it wasn't the main thrust.
Which goes to my point that Drumpf is already, by every objective metric, the worst possible thing we could do to ourselves. We don't need to make shit up when his real actions are so far beyond the line of disqualification. I don't need, or want, to be lied to about him.
I don't see a scenario where Harris wins NC, but NOT GA. That being said, I expect Trump to win one of, if not both of Nevada and Arizona, which would cancel out Georgia, so my prediction from a #'s standpoint is pretty much the same, just a couple of different states.
I'm taking a flyer on the fact that the Georgia has a Republican trifecta, while North Carolina has a Democratic Governor, as well as the fact that the Republican candidate for Governor in North Carolina is a historic disaster who could have strong reverse-coattails.
I think the difference specifically for Georgia is that Kemp, the governor wants NOTHING to do with Trump after the bullshit he tried to pull in GA in 2020, so there's no way that he's gonna let anything funny happen in his state that he hadn't already put in place for when he ran for Governor. I do agree that Mark 'Black Nazi' Robinson is an anchor around the neck of Trump in that state which should immensely help Harris.
