Not at all... it's depressingly predictable.

DeSantis is already referencing "Gulf of America" in official documents. What an incredibly subservient little bitch.

Giuliani 2: Electric boogaloo. Now he has to dress in a little sailor suit and hold a lollipop for everyone to see the adorable little fuck-pig.

Love it. He is exactly where we all thought and said he would be: up Trump’s ass.

You people are always trying to deflect and mudsling whenever you see somebody that you don’t like disco-dancing.

I heard it was an attempt to thwart any retaliation by Trump that could come later on. Makes sense, if it works.

I mean, yes, it does make sense, if it works, but it also sets a precedent. Biden basically said “they are going to keep coming after my family politically, so I’m doing this.” That’s assuming what may happen.

But imagine, oh, I don’t know, a president who decides on a whim that he wants something done that might be legally questionable, and has his minions do it. But he says the people saying it’s not legal are just engaging in a political witch hunt, so he just pardons the minions for anything they may have possibly done within whatever time frame he decides.

In short, nobody is arguing against questionable pardons anymore, they just want the power to do them. Like how nobody wants to rein in spending, they just want to be the ones with the purse in hand.

Up until Trump, there was a certain level of class and respect associated with the office of President.

He is not looking after Americans, especially if they don't align with his beliefs/wishes.

"We'll give California fire relief funds if they do what Trump wants".

Trump has changed the rules that never had to be codified previously.

    Don't hate on Biden.

Hate the game, not the player.

::Republican(s) violate hundreds of years of norms, and often the law::
:: Democrat responds to said violation in the only logical way they can::

"I can't believe the precedent the Democrats are setting"

rinse and repeat until the heat death of the universe.

It was decided last Supreme Court session that the President is immune from acts like this. They decided Trump cannot be held liable acts he did as President. This would also apply to President Biden. Or any future President in that case. That’s what we get for voting for Trump.

That’s what we as a country decided was more important. Respectability, intelligence, general decency…all less important than making sure Trump gets away with his particular crimes. Judges who act as his attorneys, his attorney general acting like his defense counsel. But as long as we only give a shit about Hunter Biden, this is what will continue to happen. Our system of government is irretrievably broken.

I agree that it’s broken. And now, I personally believe that with the Democrats “responding the only way they can,” that it’s a toss-up which party actually pulls the plug on elections. At some point whoever is in power is going to let the “we can’t possibly let those other guys ever have a chance to be in power ever again” genie out of the bottle, and actually mean it, and it won’t go back in.

I think we all very much hope it isn’t this current administration.

I tend to pay a shit-ton in taxes, but so far, I'm OK with the return on that.
