Every single aspect to him is flaccid. 95% of these pussies need to be slammed with primaries in two years.
Schumer's argument has been that shutting down the Government is what Musk and Trump want. By extending the funding, the two would continue to have to go in to close various departments. I do not necessarily agree with Shumer's point, but I can understand where he is coming from.
That might be a valid position in some bygone "starve the beast" era of Republican politics, where the only thing at stake was funding levels of various agencies. What Schumer is missing is the far greater danger of the current Republican brand of fascism, in which the enabling powers granted to the President in the CR are far more dangerous than the pain of a government shutdown. As a more cynical political exercise, there's no world in which an electorate that blames the President for everything from gas prices to eggs would forgo blaming the office for a government shutdown, and instead heap the blame on the minority party in Congress. Have some fucking balls, Chuck.
US: "We want Greenland." Norway: "lol" US: "we're going to take Greenland... we have soldiers there, we'll send more..." Norway: "fuck off" US: "Fine. We need eggs, send us your eggs." Norway: "Are you retarded?"
