Harvard, MIT, and Princeton all told Trump to fuck off. Cornell filed a lawsuit against the Department of Education over the funding cuts. Meanwhile Columbia folded like a cheap suit. NYC getting shown up by Boston, New Jersey, and Upstate all at the same time must be their nightmare.
The deferred resignation offer closed last night. The first wave was called the fork, so we are calling this one the trident. I am astounded at the institutional knowledge walking out the door, as well as skill categories that stand to earn more in the private sector (cough cough IT and data science). My agency is in the news a lot, but the category of employees this is focused on number just above 4,000. It feels like most administrations recognize that federal employees cost more to fire than to keep. Not this honor roll student. We are spending more on the folks walking out the door, because all their leave, retirement, etc has to be paid up front. In some of the contract language, the agency cannot eliminate the position being vacated. So this saves fucking NO money. I saw that OMB is on the hook to relocate a few hundred folks for upwards of $66 million, or more per head than any of them are legally allowed to earn in a year. The incompetence is astounding.
Come on down. Canada is “draining your swamp” of all your smart people now. Except Alberta, of course.
Is...is letterkenny a real place? Can I move there, to be closer to Mrs. McMurray? What are the visa requirements to be a citizen of letterkenny?
It’s based on the actual town of Listowel, Ontario which is an hour drive north from Nett and I. However it’s primarily filmed around Sudbury. Listowel is a hockey town. Period.
