On that note, just got back from early voting for our next Prime Minister.

I opted for the PhD in Economics who's run world banks, as opposed to the Trump wannabe ass-kisser.

I'm optimistic that we won't be initiating a trade war any time soon.

Oh for fucks sake. It didn't come from a lab and it doesn't contain any features not found in nature. The actual scientist who suggested that the furin cleavage site didn't occur in coronaviruses at the beginning of the pandemic quickly reversed himself when he found out that he was wrong. But conspiracy idiots can't change their opinion on anything lest it hurt their fragile little egos.

That's kind of the piece that's missing for me. If they had the right credentials, did they successfully authenticate or not? Did they get stopped by some 2FA prompt? It's the most important part of the story and it wasn't explored as much as it needed to be. I do InfoSec for a living so it's baffling that these details were overlooked.

Whatever, it's all dumb anyway. I'm just going to back to writing love letters to Karen Read. I can fix her.

I always hate every reporter’s attempt to cover something I know a lot about.

99% of the time they are morons reporting to morons to fit a narrative.

Yeah it's what I am skeptical of everything I read. If the stuff I know about is this sloppily reported, then the stuff I don't must be as well. I don't even bother consuming the trade deficit and tariff discourse. People have absolutely no idea what either term actually means, but it certainly doesn't stop them from having a strong opinion.

I read another article that stated they removed a bunch of the checks needed for new account creation, one of them being 2fA and some other logging requirements. Not sure if this is further discussed in the whistle blowers actual statements or not.

Thanks. I'll read it in more detail when I have time, but good Lord we are in deep trouble if this is the state of government systems:

They had no ability whatsoever to isolate and contain resources before this? What? Nice to know these requirements being forced on me are not at all enforced internally.

The frustrating part for me is leadership that believes the media reporting over the career analysts who work for them.

I spend not an infrequent amount of my time at work having to brief & update leadership why what they read or heard from news media is inaccurate, misleading, overly optimistic/pessimistic, or flat out false.

I was going to and this is going to be a weird but.... our region is always NPD, then conservatives, with liberal in a very distant 3rd. So a vote for the liberals is closer to a vote for the conservatives because it takes away from the ndp vote.

To tell you how little faith the liberals have of winning this riding it took them a week to put up signs, and the CHP(Christian heritage party) has more signs up then the liberals do.

So I am going to vote ndp only because I would rather them win the the conservatives. I know it is a shit way to vote but I really dont want PP wining.

The President of the United States in my humble opinion is seriously mentally unhinged. On a level that makes President Nixion
