It is looking like 4 out of 7 party leaders (greens have 2) are out of a job. So anger was expressed.
Because they went from the party that supports union and blue collar workers (which Canada has lots of) to the party that’s willing to put anyone and everyone on welfare. A party that once promoted the hard worker now promotes laziness.
What do you call your parties? I mean, we have the “Elephants and Jackasses” thread, so do you have animal mascots? Moose and Goose?
CBC projects that PP will lose his own seat. Gotta love it. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/otta...5-carleton-pierre-poilievre-results-1.7515695
But really, this is still too close for comfort. PP lost his riding, and the Conservatives lost the election, but it was no landslide, not even a majority government. It's going to be interesting to see how shit plays out from here.
Imagine if Trump had the ability to STFU, and that Pierre feller won. Then they went on to completely reshape North America.
ikr? It's scary to think about, honestly. The amount of long term damage that could have been inflicted is insane.
Yeah, me too. It felt like we would have a big turnout this year. I found the actual numbers surprising.
They were the only ones when we were on strike that actually were for us being in strike, Cons and libs were for and did get the courts to put us back to work
I am glad the libs as well as they did. People were really not happy with the libs and they had every right to be, even my wife who has voted ndp in every election wanted to(never did) vote Cons just for some change. I am just really disappointed in my fellow Canadians who seemed happy enough for change that they wanted the trump loving Cons into power.
Yeah, to me this was very much the same as the "not Trump" vote. Voted against PP rather than for Carney for a number of people. I'm cautiously optimistic that Carney will do well in the next year and gain more support, because he truly is a world-class politician and that will become apparent as we react to the current Trump BS.
