Unless you're a lot more famous than I think you are, a single allegation isn't going to become news -- or likely go anywhere at all. If you're worried that random people are going to make up completely life-destroying lies about you for no reason, there are a lot of easier ones that don't involve the person who made up the lies being pilloried. Or, they would just poison you or whatever. My point is you should get a food taster before you worry about this.
Apparently his version of devout Christianity involved lots of partying. http://www.kentucky.com/opinion/editorials/article189451979.html
So...when do we think Trump fires Rosenstein? He’s the one standing in the way of Trump getting rid of Mueller.
I'm getting nervous that something's about to happen soon since there's been such an increase in the narrative of trying to delegitimize Mueller and now the FBI as a whole. All this talk on Fox about cleansing the FBI and how there's a coup going on is even more nuts than usual, especially considering how much influence they have, including on the president.( I would love to know more details about their relationship with the White House. ) I think successfully pulling off convincing enough of the right people that whatever Mueller finds is illegitimate is maybe even more damaging and dangerous than firing him would be. It's not like there can really be consequences as it's happening, unlike what firing Mueller could set into motion. But if he does, I think the real question we have to worry about is whether or not enough Republicans would do what they should.
As soon as something happens to someone in his family, he will do something drastic and stupid. Each one of them knows exactly what they did. Enough people at this point know how dirty this admin is and the only news source saying otherwise is Fox. If the GOP want to have a prayer of maintaining a shred of respectability after this, they will follow the rule of law. Every single legal body investigating Trump, the transition team, his family and his associates are all republican led. To sit back and actually say that the special counsel(a lifelong republican) is biased against republicans is bullshit of the highest order.
And apparently half of this board? I know people hate him, and there's good reasons, but I'm kind of surprised how many people seem to 'know' how this investigation is going to end. There's been flags that merit further investigation, but as far as cutting an actual deal with Putin the evidence has been quite ambiguous. Frankly, calling it ambiguous is generous at the moment. It's just not there... yet. I would not be shocked if Trump turns out to be guilty, but it's been bizarre to watch the depth of wild accusations towards the investigators from the republicans and then democrats laying out absurdly specific details of unproven crimes often only standing on the leg of another branch of another theory involving some other detail there is no way they could possibly determine. The partisanship in this country has been crazy for awhile, but this is some next level shit. I'm worried that so many people have emotionally invested themselves in the outcome that they won't accept conclusive evidence when it does come. Regardless of which way that goes, the shit storm will detonate. That, we can be damn sure of.
Yeah Ive noticed the chicken little headlines have faded somewhat. The left should stick with Russia though, they started to pivot towards the sexual misconduct stuff but Trump and his followers are just not going to play the same capitulation game to curry favor with any base or score political points on the subject. It's a loser for the left I think.
Keep your eye on the House Intel committee. Our partisan divide is deepening, and we may see another mile marker here. Democrats on the committee are considering releasing a minority report that would essentially accuse the committee (read: its Chairman Devin Nunes) of deliberately undermining the investigation. It won't do anything, but don't undersell the importance of a formal accusation of dereliction at best, treason at worst.
Aw shit. "The Trump administration ramped up its support of Iranian regime change on Tuesday, announcing it will use Facebook and Twitter to communicate directly with the pro-democracy protesters who have taken to the streets to demand freedom from Tehran's hard-line rule." This is exactly the reason that large swaths of the ME hate us. We need to just let the whole ME sort itself out without US intervention of any kind, it's not our job to be the morality police.
Might want to start with removing a military base or twenty from the area then. Also, Japan and Germany. I think the Enola Gay got her point across.
One for the “There no WAY he can say anything more stupid than....” Crowd. Tie him to a bed and heavily sedated him already, it isn’t cute anymore. I tire of his shitty, empty boasts.
I was 98% convinced it was fake, but was curious why a fake tweet would bother including a fake reaction that doesn't really add anything to the joke. Went to twitter to verify and sure enough, real as rain.
The way the republicans are approaching this is really stupid. There's been more than enough to demonstrate that an investigation is merited. If they had simply said "Let the investigation run its course." and Trump turned out to be guilty they could have done some damage control. At this point, if Trump is implicated it'll be the worst disaster for a political party in American history. Speaking out against some of the speculation is one thing, but they could have done that without attempting to delegitimize the entire investigation. Even if Mueller turns up nothing on Trump, so what? He catches a few rats along the way (eg Manafort) and I don't see why anyone would have sympathy for them.
I am in awe of his Trump tight troll game on a near daily basis. At least CNN went with the size of the US nuclear arsenal over the easy penis comparison.
It is pretty amazing. What is truly unnerving to me, and this is probably coming from a place of naïveté is that the only thing truly holding our government together is just the good will of those in charge. I always took for granted that we would never have a person like this in charge of everything and a passively complicit political party to quietly support him.
