https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...rventionist-u-s-military-policy-idUSKBN13W06L The indication is that his intention was to scale back military deployments and overseas occupation instead putting that money to better use. Whether that happens in the next 7 years or not is another thing.
Yes, I'm sure that, given the opportunity to amend the Constitution, the party of No Abortions and Voter ID will seek no more "remedy" than that.
I just listed 2. In the gun community there is a strong portion against doing one in fear that there will be a run away convention and left states will curtail the 2nd amendment. It’s a bigger fear that politicians of any stripe could fuck up the original intent of the constitution with a modern convention of states. I do agree with a number of Levins proposed amendments.
Yea gun laws always have amazing compliance, no matter if it’s federal or state. In MA they just released the numbers of how many people turned in their bump stocks after the ban and mandatory turn-in. They received 1. Fuck the MA attorney general.
So if I'm understanding this correctly, Trump's budget takes an axe to every worthwhile social program or government agency we have, and somehow still manages a $700 billion annual deficit. It's like The Government Built for Homer:
It's amusing to read articles and comments from people concerned about the budget and debt. Now it's suddenly a problem but it wasn't for the past 8 years. I sincerely hope we see a balanced budget at some point in my life, though I won't be holding my breath. I'm sure the party of silence on debt will continue to just reverse depending on who is in charge as usual.
I think there is a difference between going into debt because you want to buy a house and going into debt because you feel like being treated like a "high roller" at a Vegas Casino for a weekend.
You would need an amendment for the balanced budget, even then, the ability to raise debt is a pretty important function of the federal government. It’s not the same as a running up a debt on a credit card.
Mueller drops 13 indictments on Russian nationals for conspiring to defraud the United States amongst other things: https://www.justice.gov/file/1035477/download Republicans will continue to deny Russian did anything.
Interesting highlight post from Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/politics/c...office_of_special_counsel_indicts_13/ducm9jf/ There's some serious shit in there.
The escalation is amusing. April: "You know, I'm not sure Hillary is the right choice for Black Americans" October: "SHE THE DEVIL AND TERRORISTS ARE KILLIN COPS"
Which is pretty much every sequence of YouTube video comments, news article comments, etc. So, I don't know if I should feel better that all those commenters aren't all really psycho disturbed hateful people and they're just paid "Russian personas" or worse, because the paid personas just copied the regular commenters.
Gates droppin' dimes on Manafort: http://www.latimes.com/politics/la-na-pol-rick-gates-plea-deal-20180218-story.html So it looks like Mueller has Manafort absolutely dead to rights across the board. If Manafort has anything worthwhile to offer, he doesn't have much of a choice but to give it up at this point.
You guys read this? http://www.businessinsider.com/us-kills-wounds-300-russians-in-massive-syrian-battle-reports-2018-2 It should read: Kremlin puppet Trump, acting on direct orders from his handler, Putin, kills 200 Russian mercenaries. I just hope this act doesn't slow down Trump the Colluder's goal of reaching energy independence, lowering the value of Russia's biggest economic asset.
You've cracked the case. If the Trump campaign in any way colluded with Russians, Trump would have had to have been personally present in Syria and ordered US Special Forces to surrender when fired upon.
In all sincerity, what case? Is there even a case to be made anymore? Didn't Rosenstein state that no American knowingly colluded with Russia? Or are you going to try to convince me the best is yet to come - in a time where instant gratification, 24-hour news cycles and the crushing weight of the need to prove something is happening right now is the reality in Washington D.C.?
