Try Maps of Meaning, his previous one. It's out of print now, but you can still get it on Amazon for like $50 American.
I love Peterson. I think that he is one of the great crusaders of logic for the current era. He’s intellectual, direct, non-bias and does now cower or shy away from anybody. I was also proud of my city for not having a single protester when he spoke at Western University. The people who get bent out of shape over him don’t even seem to know why.
I can't help but think he's going down fast and hard. And he's not going to be one of those "home arrest" types, I don't think. He's fucked. Spoiler
I'm betting he started to go over his emails as requested, which refreshed his memory with what is actually in them, and he realized that he's in deep shit so isn't just going to hand them over to the grand jury. He doth protest too much... on national TV.
He does understand there’s no option if he’s called to a grand jury, right? It’s not like turning down a game of pick-up ball. He sounds like a whiney, sissy girl too.
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/03/05/us/politics/trump-trade-tariffs-nafta.html So this is going on while people worry about a drunken campaign planner telling Mueller to fuck off. I'm asking again, what is the Democratic plan going toward 2020? Impeach Trump.......that must be the only plan. Meanwhile, Trump is playing the art of the deal on everyone and in the midst of bringing manufacturing jobs back. Last I checked, Union folks belonged to Democrats, unsure how Dems are going to fight a NY Democrat in wolf's clothing (I know the Conservatives and Neocons already lost this fight in the primary) fighting for union jobs and infrastructure. Seriously, what's the plan?
This is a two part meme neither part of which makes sense: Myth 1: You can't win an election on hate. Of course you fucking can, that was literally Trump's entire 2016 campaign. Hatred of Trump will carry down ballot candidates throughout Blue and Purple states and probably even into some Red states. Democrat turnout has been up across the board in every election we've seen since Trump won. Whether it will be enough to take the House (probably) and the Senate (probably not) remains to be seen, but hatred of Trump is the most viable political strategy the Democrats have had in years. Myth 2: The Democrats stand for nothing other than being anti-Trump. No one cares what the Democrats stand for other than being anti-Trump, but that's a completely different assertion. Hillary had reams of policy positions that absolutely no one read. To pretend like the Democrats' problem is a lack of sober policy positions is completely absurd. No Democrat in my lifetime has lost an election for lack of policy. Trump's own party is terrified of these tariffs because they basically amount to a giant tax on the American consumer in a year where they were planning to run on the fact that they cut taxes. When Bush tried a (more limited) tariff on steel in 2002 it cost more jobs than the steel industry employs to begin with.
Really they just need to keep their base fired up. Not hard to do given the endless SHOCKING headline stream from the media. I was worried the right would never get it together legislatively before the midterms. Now I fear complacency from the voters since the economy is doing well and thing are generally pretty good.
Huh... Kellyanne Conway found to be in violation of the Hatch Act... https://www.cnn.com/2018/03/06/politics/kellyanne-conway-hatch-act/index.html Kerner said he is referring her violations for the President's "consideration of appropriate disciplinary action." Hmmm... geee.... I wonder what he will do?
He’ll probably just say she did nothing wrong just like a year ago when she did it. You either get fired or exonerated instantly with this guy, he’s what you get if you gave Down Syndrome to Richard Nixon.
Gaslight of course. Don't you understand? Violating the Hatch Act proves how much she complied with the Hatch Act.
Don't forget that this was Cohn's quote from Fire and Fury: "It's worse than you can imagine. An idiot surrounded by clowns. Trump won't read anything - not one-page memos, not the brief policy papers; nothing. He gets up halfway through meetings with world leaders because he is bored. And his staff is no better. Kushner is an entitled baby who knows nothing. Bannon is an arrogant prick who thinks he's smarter than he is. Trump is less a person than a collection of terrible traits. No one will survive the first year but his family. I hate the work, but feel I need to stay because I'm the only person there with a clue what he's doing. The reason so few jobs have been filled is that they only accept people who pass ridiculous purity tests, even for midlevel policy-making jobs where the people will never see the light of day. I am in a constant state of shock and horror."
None of that quote suprises me in the least. Of course he’s bored. It was never about being presidential. It was about becoming the boss. “Now I’m in charge of everybody, just like I always wanted.” How many more books do you think will come out in the next while that expose him as the lazy asshole we knew he was 30 years ago? Maybe the Mooch will write a short story. I’d read the shit out of that.
