The Mooch won't write a short story, he'll write a screenplay that opens in a strip club and he'll demand that Ryan Gosling play him.
So the right wing talking point of "Trump is going to win the Nobel Peace Prize" lasted all of twenty four hours before his own staff had to walk back his statement because it was an impulsive response that was in no way supported by policy or planning.
I haven't seen anything about him winning the Nobel Prize, but I knew the moment it was announced that Kim said he would meet with Trump the media would fire up all sorts of Fuck Trump shit. Apparently Trump has fallen into a clever trap set by the Norks and his meeting with Kim is just playing into their hands We're fucking doomed. Again.
https://www.theindychannel.com/news...ay-to-nobel-peace-prize-if-he-disarms-n-korea We're not doomed, but we are exactly where we have been for the last twenty years: a Kim willing to talk without preconditions because it grants him prestige without having to give up anything, and a White House insisting on denuclearization as a precondition to talks. It's just that this time we were briefly interrupted by a President who will apparently agree to anything before his staff reminds him what their actual policy is.
Trump can’t keep his pornstsr hush money hushed, but I’m sure he will excel at dealing with a rogue state with nuclear weapons. The media says that it’s a bad sign that he hasn’t appointed an ambassador to South Korea or an envoy to North Korea, but that’s actually a good sign because that means he doesn’t need any help.
So, a theory. I'm not sure that it directly benefits Russia, but I think unification of N and S Korea is closer than you may expect. It may help Russia indirectly by strengthening the region economically (for example, I know N Korea has a lot of unmined precious metals that are valuable in modern day applications), plus other reasons that I cannot fathom. I think Putin is whispering in Kim's ear about how you don't need nukes to be superior when you have a flourishing economy. See: South Korea. It will be orchestrated by Putin however, with Kim as his puppet. It will look like Trump brokered a master deal if he can play the part right, but I don't think Putin knew how truly senile the man would become over recent past. There are signs that Russia is tinkering with situations worldwide: they have been giving N Korea military tech. Russian operatives in other countries are being taken out by Russia itself--see recent reports of specialty neurotoxins. This isn't stuff happening in a vacuum. These are plays being made. Much of the destabilization in recent years appears to be by the hand of Putin. The refugee crisis in Europe. Who got involved and caused a sudden spiking of civilian casualties that caused a mass emigration from the region? Typical European policy is not really equipped to deal with the economic and cultural issues this has caused. There is evidence of Russian meddling in social media to influence the American public. And both sides of the spectrum, not just conservative or liberal. There have been instances of Russians starting facebook events for protests on opposites sides of issues to create racial tension in the same city. Why? To raise tensions. To destabilize us. The election meddling in the US. I think it is an actual thing that occurred, and I think a lot of American politicians knowingly or unknowingly took money from Russia. There is a reason there is a mass resignation happening and it's not just because Trump is unpopular in ratings. I think the Mueller investigation was not supposed to happen and a lot of Putin's tendril's are being uncovered. If Comey had been left in place, the scope of the investigation would have been quite narrow. Trump could have stalled the investigation well into his term and then fired him at the end if he wanted, causing a restart of the investigation. And by that time, possibly already be re-elected, having brokered a historical peace deal in Korea. Perhaps that was the plan, but he could not properly execute it because senility is a real bitch.
Why do you say that about NK & SK? I can't think of a country further from a thriving economy than NK. And if reunification happens, much of it will be financed through SK, which the younger generation simply doesn't want to do. China, who is shaping up to be the actual power in the region, doesn't want another US allied state on it's borders, and prefers the status quo. The NK regime is on thin ice and the world knows it. The nukes are the one thing that Kim knows will ensure his hold on power continues. Every other regime despised by the west that lost their throne simply didn't have WMD's. Russia is confronting a massive demographic crisis, as well as numerous crises of public health. The rates of alcoholism, birth rates and suicide rates are pretty dramatic. Economically and politically, Russia (and Putin's) interest is in enriching the oligarchs that have been running shit since the 80's. The sanctions are the single biggest obstacle to that, and they will literally spend billions to lift them. You may have a point that Russian interests can liberally mine and export raw materials from NK if the politics allow for it, but that's kind of a long shot. Russia has been interfering with things for the past few years, but they have never really been on the sidelines. They are just succeeding....
First the GOP says, "nothing to see here": https://www.cnn.com/2018/03/12/politics/house-republicans-russia-conclusions/index.html and now Tillerson is gone after calling Russia out on some shit. Gotta love how the White House is now a Russian Asset.
The White House: We're going to have a historic summit with North Korea on massively short notice Also The White House: I cannot see any need for an Ambassador to South Korea, nor even a Secretary of State at this time
So now it’s a career accomplishment to run CIA black sites where we water board people. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...-5-things-to-know-about-career-spymaster.html
Your country is their Nintendo controller. Not like my land hasn’t been shitting the bed as well. Trudeau seems to be on a perpetual gaffe bender as of late, and Doug “World’s Biggest Asshole” Ford is the leader of Ontario’s Conservatives. I’ll be voting Orange this spring, thanks.
Say what you want about Ford, but the guy does a pretty good job at running shit. Sure, he may be an asshole, but compared to Wynne and the other fucktards that are too afraid to hurt anyone's feelings and are fucking up the economy as a result, I prefer him hands down. Case in point, what do you think we'll be paying for hydro in 10 years here in Ontario? "People are complaining now, so let's push any loan payments back 10 years, making them larger and more onerous, but well past my election period".
Well, this is public now: https://democrats-intelligence.hous..._the_russia_investigation_with_appendices.pdf It's amazing the list of witnesses that the Russian investigation had on their list but never called... "We've got our guy in the White House... we don't care about the Russians."
Reading through this document is pretty unbelievable. There is a lot of unfounded supposition - for instance: Deutsche Bank was fined for laundering Russian money; Donald Trump does business with Deutsche, so now we need to know whether or not Trump and Russia were laundering money together. They claim that Wikileaks got Clinton's hacked data (I thought Podesta was phished?) from Russia, yet Assange has stated explicitly that wasn't the case.......which organization has a better record of telling the truth? I don't recall Wikileaks having to do too many retractions whereas I can recall fighting a whole war in Iraq based on a lie. With that said, I can't help but mentally juxtapose all we know about Clinton - The Clinton Global Initiative, homebrew servers, Million dollars in cash being given as gifts to Bill by Emirs of State, the Panama Papers, etc, etc and wonder; would these same people be as strident with their interpretation of law and have such zeal for investigating every nook and cranny? With the media, it's different, I know how they roll:
Moved to correct thread - https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-...that-includes-death-penalty-for-drug-dealers/ How neato is this? Bolstering the failed war on drugs in a useless manner. Maybe if you created a policy to go after the doctors, pharmaceutical reps and pharmaceutical manufacturers.....you know, the actual drug dealers then you may affect some positive change here. We're Americans after all though; we always get it right, after we have exhausted all other options first.
