    My uncle is friends with one of the lower-level dudes who got caught up in all that. Sounds like same thing happened so don't think it was limited to just the top tier dudes. His wife plead out and got a slap on the wrist comparatively, then his friends/co-workers started cooperating as well. He fought it though (dumbass) and got 7 years.

    According to stormy Daniels’ lawyer, she was physically intimidated into signing the NDA, and the lawyer has been contacted by at least 6 other women in similar circumstances who were made to sign an NDA.

    Fired based on the recommendation of the FBI's Office of Professional Responsibility. Think about that one for a minute. With all that has gone on over the last few years with the FBI, all of the sudden the Office of Responsibility decided to show up in the 11th hour to recommend firing McCabe.

    That's what I'm wondering about. Normally you let a guy like this just ride off into the sunset and collect his pension. This time he was nailed to the wall.

    I'm not sure how to feel about that. He was dirty. No one that rises to that position of power is clean. I don't care about his claim that he "Served the public for 20 years." No he didn't. He played politics to rise to his position and no doubt stabbed others in the back just to further his position. He didn't give a fuck about justice or public service, he just cared about his paycheck. I can't say as I blame him, I'd probably do the same thing.

    The FBI has been completely useless lately....like the past 20 years or so. They've become completely mired in partisan politics and unable to function as the entity they were originally set up to be.

    I don't know if McCabe deserved to be fired (there is certainly a massive level of irony in Sessions clutching his pearls about lying under oath), but I do know there's zero chance he was fired because he deserved it.
