Another thing... you're dealing with a President who makes official statements on Twitter, and lives and breathes the media.

Cohen is releasing that shit in public knowing that Trump can't keep his mouth shut, and will end up fucking himself over with his own Tweets.

His tweets which, according to the White House, are official WH statements.

That's kinda a biggie to remember.

Which is why they're being actively cited in search warrants and other legal proceedings.

OK. Here is where I'm really fuzzy on it.

    There was an NDA.
While she was completely and totally abiding by that NDA which she was well compensated for, out of the blue, Trump threatened to sue her for breach of the NDA for absolutely no reason at all?

There seems to be a step or two missing in that timeline.

He's releasing Cohen's bank records to show the connection....who is he trying to show the connection to? A jury? The court of public opinion? Who is he presenting evidence to and why? Because he's a patriot?

I have no doubt Daniels fucked Trump for money. I have no doubt that she was also paid hush money. I'm just wondering who her lawyer is trying to convince with leaking information that should not be public knowledge to the media. As far as I know he's not building a case for her. Is there some lawsuit going on between her and Trump? I really don't follow this soap opera very closely.

Word leaked about the NDA from somewhere years ago.
Stormy Daniels then files suit to declare the NDA null and void because Trump never signed it.
Trump then wanted it to go to arbitration, and in the process made some public, contradictory comments, as did the White House Press Secretary.

I feel that Avenatti has a much larger game here than just repping Stormy Daniels. At this point, her 130k is just chump change compared to what we are dealing with from these major corporations.

I wanna know where that money is now.

It’s also serving to show what completely shameless hypocrites this whole administration is. He railed against Clinton for pay to play type shit. Now, every 20 minutes, a new story is coming out describing exactly that from Cohen. I think the in the coming days, evidence will surface from Avenatti showing Trump was in the loop somehow.

Trump has denied knowing anything about it. Let him keep denying it.

Interesting... it seems that Avenatti got a lot of the information he's releasing due to Stormy Daniels changing lawyers.

When she switched, Avenatti got access to all the previous info on the case, which included a ton of email correspondence between that old lawyer (Davidson), and Cohen.

"As a matter of practice, lawyers maintain case files for the benefit of their clients. If the client decides to seek new representation, the information in the case file is generally deemed to belong to the client, and it’s then forwarded to the new attorney. In this case, it appears that Davidson turned over these communications to Avenatti as part of Daniels’ case file."

Given that Davidson seemed to be part of the scam, there's no telling what's in those emails. It looks like Davidson basically gave up and decided he would dig his own grave no deeper.

Both Draft Kings and FanDuel have cut waaaaaay back on their advertising after they both got sued for "false advertising" by the New York AG.

But god damn were those things on every other second back in the day.

That was almost two football seasons ago. Since then everybody is now majorly aggrieved by whether or not a guy is or isn't kneeling during the national anthem.

Back on focus; this ruling doesn't mean you can just run out to your local Indian casino and start betting on Division 3 Women's Lacrosse to get your itch scratched. Sportsbooks are still illegal in 47(46?) states. This is just removing the Federal ban on sports betting. Each state still needs to draft their own legislation if they want to allow for it in their respective state.

Nah, this was just a sloppily written law that ran afoul of the way federalism works in the US.

Technology and science killed the mob. You can’t get away with anything anymore, hide from anything.

Also, people don’t tolerate ruthlessness like they used to. Back in the good old days, when utterly uneducated bully mass-murderers with no real employment ran the show. Ruthlessness offends people nowadays, and if you threaten them with violence they’ll just go and blog about it later.
