I think this is a big part of why our politicians are able to get away with being so corrupt. Look at the bullshit issues people are obsessed with. Do people go out and protest that we are paying 4-10x in prescription drug costs compared to other first world nations because of lobbyists and pharmacies buying off politicians? No. Do they protest medicare funds being diverted to politicians' pockets? Fuck no.

They go out and protest shit like 'the wage gap'. They go out and protest about nazis in the white house. They protest about Israel responding to lunatics like Hamas attacking them(protesting against Israel). They protest about which bathrooms transgendered people get to use. They protest these things because they're fucking stupid.

I'm sorry, but it's just true. This country has gotten unbelievably dumb with regards to politics. People waste their time on issues that are complete nonsense, like the wage gap, or they obsess about borderline meaningless shit that is never going to impact them. When it comes to issues that actually do affect them, they're too fucking stupid prioritize them. Then they pat themselves on the back for being so much smarter than the other team. It's fucking pathetic.

I think it's about a 50/50 mix of pure idiocy and the extremely unhealthy fixation on the 'bad guys'. You know, the other party. The idiots, who they are so much smarter than. Of course.

People can care about and vote on any issue they want, that's fair enough, but that doesn't make you any less of an idiot if your primary voting priority is how to make the tech industry less sexist. You fucking suck.

 

My nephews' middle school was on lockdown today. For basically the entire day. Because they found 5 bullets in a classroom. Not in a gun, just there in some kid's backpack or something (the details are kinda sketchy).

From what we know so far, some kid took them to school to show a friend how much of a badass he was basically and then he got caught because duh, and then everyone freaked out. And they were worried there was a school shooting plot and all that crap.

Fucking christ. I remember going to school and guys had their rifles in their trucks because it was hunting season and we'd all go to someone's ranch to shoot after the bell rang.

 

Were schools getting shot up on a near monthly basis back then? Because if they had been then I'm sure you'd have had a different experience. But they *are* getting shot up these days, so...

My actual guess is that the kidney surgery was really plastic surgery and she's just in recovery until she can take off the bandages that gives it all away.

My fantasy guess is that she's been the mole this whole time (working together with Tiffany) and she's had to go into hiding.

The insane conspiracy theorist in me says he murdered her and Giuliani's "you can't convict the president for murder" schtick this morning was laying the ground work to protect him from it.

If you were an American under Trump you would drink heavily. Like, people actually voted for him. He was legally allowed to be president. Think about that for a second. Democracy happened... and trump was the result.
