It's not. I posted earlier about how absurd that is. I fucking sell Canadian steel to the military so I know it's bullshit. The steel tariff is worse because it impacts a lot more industries than the dairy tariff, but that said the whole "We need this to protect our domestic producers" argument is odd to me because isn't it essentially the same argument as the one to defend the steel tariff? The national defense excuse wasn't the real reason, it's to support to domestic producers. I am not arguing however, that what Trump is doing is smart or justified. I'm just saying that from that perspective he has a very slight point. Emphasis on slight. I'm a bit more sympathetic to the tariff on German cars because the EU charges high duties to American importers. That said, I don't think people in Europe are all that eager to buy the shitty cars America makes anyway. At least not in the market for everyday/not show off vehicles. Well, in fairness to Trump he's shown plenty of times that he's more than happy to be a belligerent asshole in person. Not that that is an admirable quality in a diplomat.
I really don't get why he didn't just stay focused on China, and penalizing certain companies for moving production offshore/relocating to dodge taxes. The EU would have been very much on our side, but like most things Trump he is determined to be a fucking moron. Unfortunate really, because he could have done a lot of positive work if he wasn't such a spiteful aggressive shithead.
This is a bananas story that speaks to epic levels of dysfunction in the office. Meet the guys who tape Trump's papers back together I don’t even know what to say. It’s a laugh and cry story.
It’s like they resurrected Charles II of Spain. Who carries him around and pre-chews his food for him?
It makes me wonder how much of his pissiness at Canada is rooted in the fact that Melania and Ivanka were giving Trudeau "Fuck Me" eyes.
Charles II was the victim of possibly the most brutal historical burn ever, referring to how inbred he was:
Also, his constant sissy-tantrums are no doubt doing wonders for America’s tourism industry. They have the largest in the world and he’s going to single-handedly decimate it unless the GOP decides to grow a spine and step in.
That paper shredding story is fucking hysterical. I can just picture them standing outside his office, tape ready in hand, struggling to not scream all manner of curses as they listen to him shred away. Terrible, yes, but I cant help laughing.
Will Bolton EVER get a toupee that matches his moustache, or do raging psychopaths like having a humorous appearance?
There are about 8 different pics that are taken from around the same time, but not exactly at the same time. The first one to make the rounds was published by Merkel's office on Instagram. Since then a number of other ones have surfaced from around the same time. Of course it makes sense that even over the span of a minute body language and facial expressions can change.
Every photo of him around people far more intelligent than him, he has this look on his face of a stupid baboon unaware of just how out of his depth he is. Like someone from Roadhouse trying to look tough, but only comes across as angry-confused and that somehow, wearing that dumb, belligerent expression will convince people he isn’t a feckless fucking moron. Like he’s insecure around smart people and all he has going for him is feaux tough guy bullshit. Not an ounce of thought goes into anything he does. He makes W look like a member of Mensa.
It’s more about how Trump looks. Not her. Arms folded. Defiant posture. “Unimpressed” facial expression. And it’s not just in this moment. It’s how he always looks around EU leaders.
Am I really missing something because I'm not seeing whatever it is I'm supposed to see in those pictures. They look perfectly normal to me...
It's also how he tries to portray himself to the rest of the world. Where he sees defiant smartest in the room righteous leader, everyone else sees pouting toddler. He says I'm taking my ball and going home, everyone else says who invited you to play ball with us to begin with? How and why the GOP hasn't found the balls to impeach him yet, I do not know, nor understand. It's beyond fearing for their own votes, because the populace doesn't support trump. He is nothing more than a genital wart asking the world for sex.
Ok, really guys "I don't like you." is not an impeachable offense. Sorry, but it just isn't. Also, his approval ratings aren't good, but about the same spot Obama was at for much of his presidency. More importantly though, the republican base loves him, so yes, it would be political suicide for the republicans representing deep red districts. No offense, but some of these posts are getting fucking ridiculous. The best option to oppose Trump for people that hate him right now is pretty clear. Show up at the midterms...
Do you really think that she was standing there and didn't speak a word to him? And as XRay says... it's not about her, it's about him... so even if she didn't look at or talk to him at all (despite being right there in front of him), it's his demeaner and body language and actions that are being ridiculed around the world. That cartoon was a political cartoon from a German newspaper, so of course they'll highlight Merkel.
If you ignore all of the shit that happened since he left early and retracted everything he said, then yes.
Reading body language is an important skill when trying to read a mood or analyze a situation. It doesn't matter what they are actually talking about. His body language and facial expression to me indicates defiant posturing and frustration. Knowing what we know about how he thinks, the things he routinely says, and generally the way his mind works, its not hard to surmise what he's doing. Look at Obama's face. What do you gather about what he's thinking or feeling? I'm not saying Obama has never smiled for a picture with Putin before. But when not posing, a lot can be revealed. This is the affect Justin Trudeau has on women. A look might only last a fraction of second, but it can betray a whole slew of emotions.
