Someone should run on the basis that they should build a wall to keep the US out. And then trump would get all pissed. "Mexico, tear down that wall!"
This is excellent advice - find ways to seek joy in your own space. Don't let elected officials or the people beating political drums impact you so much.
This will be interesting. https://qz.com/1316082/alexandria-o...al-could-make-the-us-a-climate-change-leader/ I think with all the bullshit that has been going on in politics, stories like this will hit the mainstream media big and hard, and it will result in change. People will see the "refreshing change from the bought-and-paid-for politician" and it will provide hope to those people that are sick and tired of the normal shit that's been going on. It might not be a lot of change, but I think it will be motivational for people to get into politics, and for those who are voting. Now, of course, in this particular instance, I have no misconceptions that she will have any power at all, but it's a foot in the door and maybe a bit of a wake up call to old-school Democrats.
Meh, r/conservative isn't any better; I got banned from that sub simply for pointing out that immigration violations are mostly civil, not criminal. I wasn't even being a douchebag about it either. Reddit's pretty much just a giant noise chamber, though I do like some of the sports related subs.
I got banned for linking to the Navy's and DoD's official positions on global warming and then saying I would trust them over the realclimatefreedomnewspatriotdaily.org or whatever the mod responded with.
Oh, hell no. I just assumed the dude that owned it had been sued / shut down / domain sold or something by now. I just meant, I didn't know the url itself was still a thing. Looking at early twenties girl's boobs, that willingly show them off, won't go out of style for me until I'm dead. Hmmm, we need to leave TiB cards with the web address all over Panama City Beach to get the boobie thread fired up again. Where should we leave cards to expand the intelligent discourse?
At least 5 dead when a gunman opened fire inside a newspaper office. I'm sure this has nothing to do with trump telling everyone that the media is the enemy of the people.
Don’t discount the toxic environment that is most newspaper offices. Layoffs everywhere and clickbaity social media experts replacing journalists, that kind of thing. I’m betting it’s a disgruntled ex-employee.
That's what early reports are indicating. I've also read that he damaged his fingertips in an attempt to keep law enforcement from identifying him. Fortunately, they caught this fucker alive.
I disagree that it's fortunate. Early report indicated he is in no way cooperating, and now he will spend the next 40 years costing taxpayers money and clogging the justice system. My first preference is that he could've gotten some help for his mental problems before this happened. My second preference is that he would've just eaten his gun.
